About the Organization:
SELCO Foundation was founded in 2010 as an open source, not for profit, public charitable trust. SELCO Foundation is a collaborative that strives to inspire and support champions of sustainability across the world. SELCO Foundation envisions a world where sustainable energy is a part of the approach to development and not an afterthought. Their mission is to create a platform of solutions that uses sustainable energy as a catalyst to link environmental sustainability and poverty alleviation. With holistic development as the primary base, the organization strives to inspire the formation of an equitable society.
Summary of the Project:
The institutionalization program under SELCO Foundation focuses on working with sector champion institutes/NGO/organizations in India. These partners are identified such that, in past, they have done remarkable work in their particular area of expertise and have made positive noticeable changes in the sector. (Sector being: livelihoods, health, education, built environment, finance, etc.)
SELCO partner with sector champions to be able to co-design and co-work on implementing programs that demonstrate and showcase the catalyst effect that Decentralized Renewable Energy (DRE) can have on the work that the identified champions were/are/will be doing, which in turn multiplies the overall impact of the champion partner’s programs.
Since the year of 2017 SELCO has partnered with 22 such partners cutting across various sectors. Through this assessment, SELCO look forward to measure partnerships which it has had in comparison to the overall institutionalization program philosophy.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Develop a methodology and set of questions that will help get the understanding of the current status of partnership in comparison to institutionalization program overall philosophy, the future of the partnership from here and the longevity/sustainability of a program like this
2. Conduct individual interviews with each of the partner’s advisory board both from SELCO’s side and the partner’s side (20 interviews)
3. Conduct combined discussions with these advisory board members after the individual interviews (10 interviews)
4. To come up with a report after the above-mentioned tasks demonstrating:
- the degree of institutionalization attained and sustainability of the partnerships
- mention the future of these partnerships after interacting with the relevant stakeholders
- evaluate the longevity of a program like institutionalization
Requirements:
They look for Individuals with prior proven experience in:
- doing energy assessments
- developing assessment and evaluation matrix for social enterprises
- minimum 5-8 years of overall professional work experience
- similar qualitative study experience for organizations
Deliverables:
- Develop the methodology and questions for the assessment and get the same approved by the reporting manager
- Notes and transcripts from each of the interviews conducted
- A detailed comprehensive report aiming to cover all the points mentioned in the duties and responsibilities section
