About the Proposal

IRMA is undertaking an ‘Impact Evaluation of the CSR initiatives of National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) in the state of Chhattisgarh. The project involves conducting a survey of 1600 beneficiaries (primarily school children and stakeholders connected to schools) and 10 Focus group discussions (FGDs) mainly in the districts of Dantewada, Bastar, and Narayanpur, and in some areas of Sukma, Bijapur, Kondagoan and Kanker in Chhattisgarh. A report with policy recommendations has to submitted to the sponsoring agency by IRMA team based on the survey results. Survey agencies having qualified team and experience of conducting beneficiary surveys for similar studies/agencies may submit their quotation

Scope of Work

The survey will cover 1600 beneficiaries (primarily school children and stakeholders connected to schools) and 10 Focus group discussions (FGDs) mainly in the districts of Dantewada, Bastar, and Narayanpur, and also in Sukma, Bijapur, Kondagoan and Kanker of Chattisgarh. The respondents will be drawn based on suitable sample methodology suggested by the IRMA team. The following table gives a brief description of the scope of work.

The members of the survey field team should at least be graduates and belong to both male and female categories. IRMA team will provide the necessary orientation/ training to the field team of the agency on the survey and tools. The Agency will be required to provide clarifications/explanations on the data, if needed during the course of the data analysis. The survey agency will nominate a nodal person/team leader for the purpose. IRMA team members will visit the survey locations during the survey period; and may do random verification of surveyed questionnaire with the respondents.

 The entire exercise has to be completed within 4 weeks from the award of the survey work (latest by February 28, 2023)
