About the Proposal

The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) through funding from the Global Environment Facility (GEF) supports the implementation of the project entitled, “India High Range Mountain Landscape Project”, in the Munnar landscape of Kerala. The project aims to conserve the biodiversity of the high -range mountain landscape of the southern Western Ghats in peninsular India from existing and emerging threats through an effective collaborative governance framework for multiple use management. Haritha Kerala Mission and the Kerala State Forests and Wildlife Department are the implementing agencies of the project in the state. The project area consists of 11 Grama Panchayats, covering an area of 2198.78 sq. km, spread across four Block Panchayaths of three districts – Idukki, Ernakulam and Thrissur. The Grama Panchayats have been segregated into 4 clusters: Munnar Cluster – Chinnakanal, Munnar and Devikulam Anchunad Cluster – Vattavad, Kanthalloor and Marayoor Edamalakkudy Cluster – Edamalakkudy Kuttampuzha Cluster – Mankulam, Adimali, Kuttampuzha and Athirapalli The key components of the project are:

  • Strengthened capacities for community based sustainable use and management of natural resources
  • Multiple use management is applied to secure the ecological integrity of the high range landscape
  • Appropriate and effective governance framework for multiple-use high range landscape management evolved

Objective

To develop a corporate sector engagement strategy and action plan to ensure sustainability of interventions made under India High Range Mountain Landscape Project interventions in Kerala through extensive stakeholder consultations.

Scope of Work

  • Conduct extensive background research for profiling of relevant corporate partners, investors, CSR committees and consortiums for building strategic partnerships and mobilizing resources to upscale key project interventions in the state of Kerala
  • 2. Conduct a ‘Corporate Sector Roundtable’ in Kerala with corporate sector entities, Government of Kerala and key stakeholders towards mobilizing resources towards conservation in the state
  • 3. To develop an actionable resource mobilization strategy and sustainability plan for select 10 key interventions implemented under the IHRML project with emphasis on the corporate sector, which can be taken up by the Government of Kerala for implementation, post the project period.

Eligibility

  • At least seven years of experience in developing resource mobilization plans and engaging with corporates and private sector entities towards environment conservation, climate action and related thematic areas.
  • At least five years of experience of working with the Government of India and state governments, international agencies (including bilaterals and multilaterals) and academia in the domain of biodiversity, natural resource management.

Your Proposal must be expressed in English language, and valid for a minimum period of Ninety (90) days.

You are kindly requested to indicate whether your company intends to submit a Proposal by clicking on “Accept Invitation”.

In the course of preparing and submitting your Proposal, it shall remain your responsibility to ensure that it submitted into the system by the deadline. The system will automatically block and not accept any bid after the deadline. Kindlyensure that supporting documents required are signed and in the .pdf format, and free from any virus or corrupted files.

The Financial Proposal and the Technical Proposal files must be completely separate and uploaded separately in the system and clearly named as either “Technical Proposal” or “Financial Proposal”, as appropriate. Each document shall include the Proposer’s name and address. The file with the “Financial Proposal” must be encrypted with a password so that it cannot be opened nor viewed until the Proposal has been found to pass the technical evaluation stage. Once a Proposal has been found to be responsive by passing the technical evaluation stage, UNDP shall request the Proposer to submit the password to open the Financial Proposal. The Proposer shall assume the responsibility for not encrypting the financial proposal.
