About Tech Mahinda SMART Centers and SMART Academies for Healthcare

Started in the year 2012 with three centers, the Skills-for-Market Training or SMART Program is our flagship employability Program. Our SMART centers aim to provide employability skills training to youth from economically weaker sections of the urban community. The skill training is offered to the beneficiaries through a well-structured training program to ensure that after the completion of the training they are placed in suitable dignified jobs. The SMART program places a great emphasis on foundational skills for job such as Spoken English, Basic IT and Workplace Readiness. A total of 15 domains and 50 courses through its network of 90 centers in 11 cities are being offered to students to opt from SMART Centers.

Currently there are 8 centers (partners) located in 5 cities, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Visakhapatnam which offer the courses in healthcare domain. The courses offered at these SMART centers are Home Health Aid, General Duty Assistant, Pharmacy Assistant, Medical billing, Hospital billing executive

Purpose

Selection of an agency for conducting the programme evaluation of TMF’s interventions in skilling and upskilling for the allied healthcare sector in India to understand the maximum reach and highlighting its impact on the lives of the youth.

Scope of work:

The scope of work includes assessment and evaluation of TMF’s skill development initiatives across all cities where the SMART Healthcare Academies and SMART Centers offering courses in healthcare domain are present.
