RFP for Operations & Maintenance at 400 Nand Ghars in UTTAR PRADESH

About Nand Ghar Project
India is home to over 13. 7 lakh Anganwadi and the Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) is one of the largest social initiatives by any government in the world. The focal point of the program is the Early Childhood and Care centre – Anganwadi. The role of Anganwadi is critical in combating malnutrition, promoting pre- and post-natal care, immunization, and early childhood education. Innovations and new projects in ICDS have resulted in creation of projects to address Malnutrition and program promoting early childhood education.
Vedanta Limited, India’s leading Natural resources company, has signed an MoU with the Government of India to create 4,000 State of the Art modern Anganwadis. We aim to transform the Anganwadis by not only upgrading the infrastructure, but also improve pre-school education, skills development of women, delivery of nutrition and healthcare by providing an integrated model “Nand Ghar”.

SCOPE OF WORK
Baseline and Needs Assessment
- Understanding the physical, social and economic conditions of the villages where Nand Ghar will provide services and act as a resource center
- Identifying Nand Ghar stakeholders such as beneficiaries and key influencers in the community
- Understanding the baseline enrollment and attendance of children in existing Anganwadi Centre
Activities:
1. Conducting Focused Group Discussion (FGD) with the stakeholders including Village Sarpanch, sample set of Nand Ghar beneficiaries, CDPO/ DPO, NGO/ CSO in the area, to ensure
- Validation of the outcomes of the Baseline Assessment w.r.t. thematic areas, services and operations of AWC on a sample basis
- Assessment of the levels of motivation and community ownership by community for AWC
- Identification of reasons for low community buy-in or other challenges such as poor nutrition, lack of hygiene practices, poor access to health facility, low awareness, poor education facility, and many more.
- Providing solutions to overcome the challenges
- Understanding the larger factors in play that impact the overall perception and motivation to access AWC services, which subsequently will lead to community ownership

B. Along with proposal, kindly submit the following documents of your organization:
- Balance sheet or annual turnover details for last three financial years
- 12A / 12 AB and 80G Certificates (if applicable)
RFP Deadline: 12th December 2021.
