Objective of the RFP

The purpose of this Request for Proposals(RFP) is to enter into a contractual agreement with a successful bidder and select a suitable consultant to carryout the following work: Mapping, to identify potential private health care providers and pharmacy networks in Lucknow and Uttar Pradesh(UP); providing a long list (60 clinics) of potential partners and short list (20 - 25 clinics) of providers who would be suitable and willing to work with us in these 2 areas. Carrying out an audit exercise on the quality and youth-friendliness of SRH and maternal health services offered at clinics with the objectives of defining a minimum standard of care criteria for our existing and new provider clinics and pharmacists

Background

Triggerise is a growing social enterprise headquartered in the Netherlands, with offices in South Africa, Portugal, India, and Kenya. Triggerise builds scalable solutions, using mobile technologies, to deliver resources to underserved communities where traditional aid fails to address the changing needs of fragile markets. Triggerise employs an online/offline platform that connects consumers to local small businesses—giving them both the power to access health information and services on their own terms. Building on these relationships, we specialize in the application of behavioural economics to motivate consumers to make positive choices—helping them to overcome individual barriers as they arise while adding value back into their economies.

Triggerise uses innovative technology, a motivation platform to improve sexual and reproductive, and maternal health outcomes among adolescent girls and young women aged 15-29 in India - Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and New Delhi. In this case, “platform” refers to the infrastructure that links communities of users, partners, content, and transactions with the goal of motivating healthy behaviour. This includes our digital platform that engages girls via SMS and app technology as well as local, offline clusters of clinics, pharmacists and lifestyle partners who engage our audiences and promote positive health behaviors.  Annex 1 provides detail on Triggerise and how the Tikosystem digital platform works.

Our ideal target audience are young women aged 15-32 in Socioeconomic classification (SEC) B & C in urban and peri-urban areas (Agra, Jaipur, Ajmer etc.). These girls are aspirational and have some autonomy, but are constrained by income and mobility. They have some sexual reproductive health(SRH) awareness but prevailing socio-economic barriers may make accessing SRH services challenging.

Girls must have access to a phone - either their own or shared - in order to engage on our platform. Our secondary audience are community health/peer mobilisers (demand generation partners) who we use as motivators to promote service uptake. This young woman is typically between the ages of 24 - 36, has leadership presence in her community/community influencer, owns and knows how to operate a smartphone, has basic literacy levels and is interested in being an advocate for SRH in her community.

Scope of Work and Deliverables

Specifically, the consultant is required to:

  • Identify and introduce Triggerise to 3-5 pharmacy clinics/partner networks who will be willing to explore working with us.

  • Provide a long list of at least 50 potential clinics who meet minimum criteria for quality services and an associated list of 50 pharmacies nearby each clinic.

  • Carry out an audit on 20 - 25 clinic providers on the basis of quality and youth friendliness of services and other aspects which may influence target audience preference for service uptake.

  • Provide an informed audit report with precise recommendations following audits done on 20-25 providers on the basis of quality and youth friendliness.
