Request for Proposal for engagement of Vocational Training Provider (VTP) for Implementation of NSQF compliant Vocational Education programme under Samagra Shiksha in 55 Government Schools of Tripura for Department of School Education, Government of Tripura 

 

Electronic Bids for selection of Vocational Training Provider (VTP) are hereby invited by the State Project Director, Samagra Shiksha (School Education Department) on behalf of Governor of Tripura from reputed Organizations having experience of implementing Vocational Education in Government Schools for utilizing their Educational Services, supply of Lab equipments and setting up of Vocational Education labs for Implementation of NSQF compliant Vocational Education programme under Samagra Shiksha in 55 Government Schools of Tripura.

 

Scope of Work

The Organization / VTP will be responsible for the following in the proposed programme covering 55 Schools. The Vocational Training Providers are expected to:

• Provide resource persons including Vocational Trainer/teacher, Guest faculty etc. as per requirement of the project.
• Monitor the performance of the vocational teachers.
• Conduct teachers’ training every year or as and when required by the authority of Samagra Shiksha, Tripura.
• Provide initially one (01) full time Vocational Trainer for each school and each sector and another trainer if required by the Samagra Shiksha, Tripura in the selected schools as per the Sector / Job Role.
• Understand the Curriculum and Course content prepared by PSSCIVE and ensure its delivery through its Vocational Trainers/Teachers, within stipulated time and meet the quality parameters.
• Complete the syllabus as per the time line.
• Provide awareness in the spirit of the NSQF programme, ensure mobilization of students, parents, teachers and community awareness and provide guidance in consultation with Head Master (HM) of the schools.
• Ensure conduct of theoretical & practical classes as per NSQF guidelines.
• Ensure conduct internal assessment of the students with the help of HMs of school / Nodal In-charge of Vocational Education of the schools.
• Arrange industry visits/Hands on Skill Training to the student for their improvement in practical Exposure as per the norms of curriculum.
• Organize guest lectures in each class in each sector in each selected school.
• Supply the course material i.e. the Students and Teachers handbook and curriculum to the students of respective schools with different trades of VE in Bengali or in English as per requirement of Samagra Shiksha, Tripura.
• Conduct soft skill training including preparing the students for work as per the industry requirement.
• Provide consultancy support to Samagra Shiksha, Tripura for preparing proposal and reports regarding the scheme.
• Procure, supply & set up the laboratory with the required equipments for the proper delivery of the course content of different Trades in the respective classrooms which will be provided for the trades by the respective schools in coordination with Samara Shiksha, Tripura.
• Implement the activities in this project as per the guideline of MHRD or any other competent authority
• Organising job/career fair for generating employability of the passed out students (Class XII).
• Development of a dashboard/portal where students can apply for enrolment and register themselves. Moreover, implementation of the project can also be monitored including feedback on Project implementation, quality of classes etc. in that dashboard/portal.
• The selected bidder will have to set up one Project Office in the State located in Agartala and deployment of following staff within 1(one) month of receiving the Award of Contract with minimum one administrative staff and one technical staff having the following minimum qualification and job responsibilities;

 

Role: One State Project Coordinator

Qualification: 

Post Graduate Degree from any recognised University with having minimum five (5) years of Project Management and monitoring experience in similar role.

 

Responsibilities:

• To ensure smooth implementation of the project in coordination with the Samagra Shiksha Tripura, HMs of the assigned schools and Tripura Board of Secondary Education.
• Monitoring the performance of the Vocational Teachers.
• Visit each school on quarterly basis and interact with the Teachers/Students/HMs.
• Infrastructure maintenance and upkeep of Hardware, software and Multimedia Educational Content.
• To get the desired data, reports on time.
• To schedule and conduct refresher program of teachers in consultation with the Departmental authorities.
• Send monthly monitoring reports to Education (School) Department after verification.
• Maintaining close Coordination with the Sector Skill Councils for assessment of the students.

 

Role: One State level Technical support staff.

Qualification:

BCA / B.Tech / B.Sc.IT from any recognised University / Institute with having Minimum two (2) years of work experience in similar role

 

Responsibilities:

• Maintaining close coordination with Vocational Teachers for providing Technical support and should be competent enough to resolve/get resolved the problems regarding hardware/software installed in Vocational Labs.
• Maintaining of the dashboard/portal on regular basis.
• Keeping updated records of the students enrolled
• Visit each school on quarterly basis and checking of the equipments supplied in the Vocational labs.
