II. AIFT Statement of Business

 

The American India Foundation Trust is registered as a public charitable trust in India. And is committed to catalyzing social and economic change in India and building a lasting bridge between the United States and India through high-impact interventions in education, livelihoods, public health, and leadership development. Working closely with local communities, AIF partners with NGOs to develop and test innovative solutions and with governments to create and scale sustainable impact.

 

The American India Foundation invites proposals from agencies to develop Training Material, Program Promotional Material and Audio-Visual Training Content for its education program Digital Equalizer (DE) to strengthen Classroom instruction and remediation efforts. AIF wishes to address remediation challenge in 80 Govt schools of Amreli, Gujarat from grade 4th to 8th. The schools are supported by DE school facilitators (1 person handling 5 schools) and community tutors (3 hour support in a day on a daily basis for 3-4 months).

 

III. Scope of Work/Specifications/Configuration

 

Create curriculum to address remediation challenge and provide training to all stake holders.

·        Target students: Grade 4 th to Grade 8 th of Govt schools in Gujarat.

·        Content to be prepared in Gujarati and English Language.

·        Target subjects: Language (Gujarati and English) and Numeracy and Mathematical skills.

Focus areas:

  • Concept building of numbers, number operations, space and spatial relationships, measurements, time, patterns, data handling and abstract concepts.
  • Reading fluency with comprehension, and writing
  • Design step wise activities for competency-based learning
  • Use of variety of learning resources in pedagogical process
  • Develop activities that are engaging, joyful and innovative
  • Graded activities for students catering to class 4 to 8, student progress to the next level after achieving the desired learning outcomes.
  • Inclusion of formative assessments
  • Learning goals as per NCF

Duration of the module: 12 weeks of session/60 hours of curriculum (Based on competency level)

Development of learning resource material:

The selected agency will create learning ladder/progression mapping tool, Facilitator manuals, student work books, teaching learning kits, charts, story books and diagnostic tools for the facilitators. Audio Visual aids will be created/used to create interest in students. Facilitator manual will comprise of videos for guidance on activities and training methodology. Formative assessments will be part of the curriculum. Guidance will be given on monitoring and evaluation. The training module will be developed for the rural students with many of them with remediation needs. Thus, the training activities should be presented with a lot of imagery information, animations, infographic in an interactive and engaging manner.  The modules need to be translated into  Gujarati and imageries used in training content should be localised.

A.    Applicant eligibility requirements:

The bidder organization should be registered as a legal entity for doing business in India. In addition, it should have all kinds of active licenses and permission for work related to Advance Lab setup and drone activity.

The applicant must have demonstrated ability provide expert services in the Remedial Content and Kits and it should have at least Five years of experience in proposed service area.

B.    Technical Requirement:

The bidder should provide information on overall qualifications, including:

  • Profile of organization/s
  • Services offered by the organization.
  • At least 5 years of experience in developing remedial modules and conducting remedial education in rural schools
  • Clients handled and reference of clients.
  • Presence in PAN India or in required location
  • Should have previous experience working with NGO.

Bid must be submitted in English language only and should contain:

  1. Covering letter with reference of all enclosures or attachments
  2. Technical Proposal
  3. Financial Bid

Request for clarifications:

Request for clarifications/questions on this solicitation will be accepted via email at the mail Id listed above by due date given in Section –I. Clarifications will be provided to all prospective bidders who would have expressed their interest. Please note that responses will not be confidential except in cases where proprietary information is involved. Any enquiries after the specified date would not be entertained.

Due date and time of Bid Submission:

All completed bids need to be submitted by email to procurement@aif.org latest by 11:59 PM, 07th February 2023. The subject line of the email should read: “RFQ- Remedial Content and Kits [firm name]”.
