Job title: CSR  Manager Monitoring and Impact

Job Description:

The expected incumbent should be able to independently handle data and research-related responsibilities related to monitoring and impact of bank’s CSR activities. S/he should have experience of conducting and/or commission different types of programmatic assessments using systematic research approach and experience of working in research or evaluation verticals of research organizations. Experience in the CSR, social sector, NGOs as Research or Monitoring & Evaluation Manager is required.

Roles and Responsibilities:

To facilitate the adoption of the Impact assessment and Monitoring framework

  • Refine and develop research and learning framework of the Bank’s CSR portfolio
  • Work with internal stakeholders / departments to ensure successful implementation of Monitoring and Reporting Systems
  • Work with external stakeholders/agencies to digitize the M&I framework for data collection and reporting

To monitor the progress of programs on key issues

  • Collate, analyse and report data from multiple types of projects within the M&I framework laid out for CSR

Training and Development

  • To create training plan/manuals and conduct sessions to train internal and implementation teams on banks Impact management framework and facilitate reporting
  • To provide hands-on capacity building support on data management and impact measurement to internal teams and external partner organizations involved in program implementation and monitoring

Conducting Monitoring and Impact studies

  • Lead development of concepts and designs for studies of different types – thematic assessments, baseline and end-line / impact assessments
  • Identify and engage external research/consulting partners for commissioning different types of studies
  • Represent the M&I team and work as a liaison between third party vendors/evaluators and implementing partners/NGOs


  • Analyze monitoring data for trends and create insight reports for improving CSR programs of the bank.
  • To provide impact details to respective teams as required, present impact details to Internal and External stakeholders including the CSR Board and other forums, collate information for external forums and studies
  • Contribute to creating data driven insights for CSR projects to be undertaken by the Bank

Education Qualification:

  • Master in Social Work / Development Studies or similar disciplines (advanced training in Research Methodology / extensive experience in conducting Development Research is necessary)


  • Minimum 10 years of experience

Other skills:

  • Ability to independently develop study concepts using scientifically sound research designs
  • Technical familiarity with evaluation methods and standards, demonstrate ability to compile and report results of management activities
  • Desired skills and experience in working on digital platforms used for field-based data collection and MIS
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required for coordination with diverse stakeholders
  • Proficiency in English required for writing professional reports for internal and external publication in various fora.
