About the Organization

In 2009, National e-Governance Division was created by the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology as an Independent Business Division under the Digital India Corporation {erstwhile Media Lab Asia}. Since 2009, NeGD has been playing a pivotal role in supporting MeitY in Programme Management and implementation of the e-Governance Projects; provide technical and advisory support to Ministries/ Departments, both at Central and State levels along with other Government organisations. NeGD's major operational areas include programme management, project development, technology management, capacity building, awareness and communications related activities under the flagship Digital India Programme. NeGD has developed and is managing several National Public Digital Platforms such as DigiLocker, UMANG, Rapid Assessment System, OpenForge, API Setu, Poshan Tracker, Academic Bank of Credits, National Academic Depositories, National AI Portal, MyScheme, India Stack Global, Meri Pehchaan, etc.

Job Description

The candidate should be able to develop a comprehensive analysis and mapping of the partner agencies involved in the youth development sector:

• The types of programmes/projects implemented
• The budget and resources allocation
• The mechanisms implemented to enable them to assess the impact of the programmes of these agencies on the lives of young people and the community as a whole.
• Conducts and monitors the Youth Connect programmes for the Digital India

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• Graduate
• Post-Graduation:
• Masters Degree in Social Science/ Statistics/ Social Work/ Rural Development.

Experience:       

• 5 10 years of experience in the specific programme area associated with this post or related fields, the candidate should have a strong technical background in results based management, work plan/activity schedule preparation and reportingStrong organizational capacity and familiarity with e-Governance project, Digital India vision.

Others

• Experience in the design, monitoring & evaluation of development programmes.

• Strong analytical and management skills applied to managing and reviewing frameworks/strategies, knowledge of current development policies and activities.
• Ability to organize work and collaborate effectively with a wide range of teams and work with individuals of different sections and cultural backgrounds, including networking across professional, thematic and organizational boundaries.
• Basic knowledge of relevant institutional mandates, policies, guidelines.
• Familiarity with existing youth policies and activities/programmes of the government of India and states.
• Knowledge of ICT skills and applications essential for campaigns involving youth.

Skills:    

• Knowledge and understanding of theories, concepts and approaches relevant to framework/strategy development (in the field of Youth Employment, political affairs, sustainable development policy and humanitarian action); practical experience in programme/project management and administration; good research, analytical and problem-solving skills, including ability to identify and participate in the resolution of issues/problems; familiarity with and experience in the use of various research methodologies and sources, including the internet, and other databases; ability to apply good judgment in the context of assignments given; ability to plan own work and manage conflicting priorities.
