Function:

The Operations function oversees the overall operations within the organisation including Finance, Awards Management, Technology and Procurement & Administration. The Finance & Accounts team and the Grant Management team are sub- functions under Finance which are responsible for maintenance of books of accounts Financial reporting both internal and external, financial system control, statutory and regulatory compliance, proper utilisation of funds and for the organization, timely reporting to the donors along with managing the grants received from donors.

Role Purpose:

Ensure Timely and accurate maintenance and closure of books of accounts, statutory compliances and annual audit.

Role & responsibilities:

 Statutory Audit ( including mid-year review):

 

a)     Responsible for preparation of Audit schedule (for assigned areas) and consolidating other audit schedule from various team / project offices and data requirement of the statutory auditors

b)    Responsible for all closing accounting entries such as actuarial valuation, Statutory audit fee, restricted fund entries etc.

c)     Responsible for preparation of draft Annual Financial Statements

d)    Responsible for preparing other audit related reports such as variance analysis, ration analysis etc

e)     Responsible for coordinating with Hub finance and project finance for Audit related queries.

  Annual Income Tax returns

a)     Responsible for preparing audit report - Form 1OB and receipt and payment account

b)    Responsible for preparing all data/ schedules/checklist, required by statutory auditors for finalizing tax audit report.

c)     Responsible for filing income tax return

Income Tax assessments and other tax compliances of NSO

a) Responsible for preparing all required papers for income tax assessment, get it reviewed by authorized personal

and submit the same to the tax consultant

MIS Reporting

a) Responsible for providing adequate support to the line manager in preparation of MIS reports.

 Others

a)     Regular review of books of accounts

Measures of Performance:

  • Nil non-compliance cases
  • Annual audit report with NIL observation
  • Ensuring proper accounting of closure entries
