Job Description

Field Coordinator, programs will be responsible for supporting the implementation of the program in the assigned locations. S/he will also provide technical support to the community mobilizers for quality implementation of the program.

This position involves working closely with field teams, data collection, analysis, and reporting to ensure the project's goals and objectives are met.

Remain alert and responsive to any child safeguarding risks, acquire relevant knowledge and skills which will enable you to promote strong safeguarding practices, understand the child safeguarding policy and procedures and conduct yourself in a manner consistent with ChildFund’s Child Safeguarding Policy

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the Program team in the implementation of the program.
  • Supervise and provide support to Community Mobilisers in delivering their tasks.
  • Coordinate implementation of the program activities in the field and ensure high impact with children.
  • Build capacities of Community Mobilisers in the required areas.
  • Provide technical support to Community Mobilisers for consultations with different stakeholders at the community level.
  • Ensure the application of child-friendly tools during consultations and program monitoring.
  • Support in networking with relevant government bodies, national/ local organizations, Youth Clubs, community leaders, gender-inclusive learning spaces, community-based forums, etc.
  • Ensure quality documentation and reporting of the program activities and outcomes.
  • Coordinate and oversee data collection activities in the field to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
  • Train and supervise field staff on data collection methodologies and tools.
  • Ensure timely and accurate data entry, cleaning, and storage.
  • Conduct regular field visits to monitor the progress of the project and verify the quality of data.
  • Collect and analyse qualitative and quantitative data to assess the project's progress and impact.
  • Identify and report on any issues or challenges related to project implementation.
  • Any other responsibilities as assigned by the Line Manager.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

  • Master's degree in Social Sciences/ development studies
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in relevant area / monitoring and evaluation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in M&E methodologies and tools, including both quantitative and qualitative approaches.
  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
  • Ability to train and mentor staff and partners.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., SPSS, Stata, Excel) and familiarity with databases and data visualization tools.
  • Organised, team player, self-starter, and results-oriented individual.
  • Be gender sensitive with strong conviction and skills for the empowerment of excluded and disadvantaged children.
