Breakthrough is looking for a dynamic, result oriented individual to strengthen its Corporate Fundraising efforts. The person will acquire and strengthen relations with corporate clients that are looking to create sustainable impact in the lives of women and girls.
The position is primarily responsible for driving the Resource Mobilisation team’s efforts in acquiring new CSR clients from both private and public sector companies in India. The position will be responsible for meeting the CSR/ HR Heads at various corporates/Public sector undertakings (PSU’s) to make pitch presentations, creating customized proposals, key account management of existing corporate donors, as well as for donor servicing, query resolution and grant reporting.
Specific areas of work:
To devise a targeting and prospecting strategy so that companies of the right profile are approached
To set up and hold meetings with the senior management teams (such as HR head, CSR head, Marketing head and Head of Corporate Affairs) of potential corporations / PSU’s; to explain Breakthrough’s work and focus areas.
To explain various avenues, ideas and opportunities to explore mutual areas of interests with potential corporates
To represent Breakthrough in different corporate forums and events, CSR seminars and conferences, nationally and internationally, to network and with prospective corporates and improve the visibility of the organization
Create and update the prospect trackers, monthly proposal trackers, and weekly meeting calendars and submit to Head – Corporate Partnership
Develop proposals, presentations and concept note for applying for funds/grants
Correspond with donors regarding the finalization of proposals, preparation of MOUs and any other queries.
Deal directly with the donors to update them with monthly/quarterly updates and reports of activities and financial.
Engage in sustainable efforts to build long term relationships with potential donors.
Desired Qualification, Skills and Experience:
Post-Graduation; MBA in Marketing/Sales (preferred) 7 to 9 years of relevant experience.
Excellent presentation, communication and marketing skills.
Should have good knowledge of the CSR funds, foundations and grants etc. Can work independently with minimal supervision
Exceptional Interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence and motivate others
Breakthrough was founded in 1999 with the mission of using arts and culture to bring human rights issues -- especially violence and discrimination against marginalized groups -- into mainstream conversation and inspire critical masses of people to take action for change. Its first project was Mann ke Manjeeré (An Album of Women’s Dreams), an award-winning music album and video compilation that stirred unprecedented discussion across India about women’s rights and brought the problem of domestic violence out from behind closed doors. Today, Breakthrough works to activate the critical mass of people who will deliver the culture change needed to make violence against women and girls unacceptable worldwide.
Over the years Breakthrough is working on preventing Violence against Women & Girls, Breakthrough has a deep understanding of the interlinkages between its various manifestations. Breakthrough has made innovative use of media, arts and technology including digital and mobiles to usher in social change to end violence against women and promote a culture of human rights. Strategic partnership with the Ministry of Women and Child Development for dissemination of our media and IEC products which ensures that the messaging reaches large numbers as can be seen by the Bell Bajao campaign that reached 130 million in Phase I and 110 million in Phase II. The support was received pro-bono and is estimated to be worth INR 150 million. The Ministry has adopted Breakthrough’s MissionHazaar campaign on preventing sex selection under its flagship “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” campaign and is disseminating the TV spots, curriculum and communication guide in 12 Indian languages.
