About Organization

The Centre for Environment, Energy and Climate Change (CEECC) at Asian Development Research Institute (ADRI) is a policy research think-tank and an ENVIS Resource Partner under the aegis of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC). The Centre's research mandates focus on pertaining fields like environment, water, energy, air, climate change. The Centre is looking for a dynamic individual to contribute to the overall research and advocacy projects as well as be able to work independently to lead the ENVIS programme in general.

Roles and Responsibility

The overall roles and responsibilities of the Programme Officer will be to provide support to the programme implementation in the domains of water management and climate change. The individual will be engaged as a lead coordinator to the programme to ensure annual outcomes and strategies implementation plan for the forthcoming year such as satisfying evidence-based data and knowledge gaps as per the ENVIS mandates. The individual is also expected to coordinate with ENVIS Team and ensure evidence-based policy research to prepare scientific outcomes such as thematic database, newsletters, infographics, policy briefs, articles, in addition to programme implementation in form of awareness, training and capacity building, etc. activities on regular basis.   

Essential Qualification

• Masters or above in relevant disciplines such as environment, water, forestry or equivalent specialization; 
• At least 3 years of professional experience in programme implementation in the field of water resources or terrestrial wildlife and biodiversity or environment management or equivalent sector.

Remuneration 

The position is purely contractual, and the consolidated monthly emolument will be around Rs. 45, 000 which is negotiable depending upon relevant experience and skills.
