Position: Project Associate-Digital Learning (INR 4.0-4.50L)

Location: Work from home with travel to Ahmedabad for monthly/quarterly meetings (post October 2021)

 

About BharatCares

BharatCares (by Indigive Foundation-registered as a Section 8 company) is a not for profit organization in India. The Foundation is the social impact arm of CSRBOX and its allied organisations. BharatCares has been gearing up to launch a few key-initiatives on education and healthcare In India. Our two upcoming programs are Baharat e-Shiksha and Bharat ki Beti. 

 

Under Bharat e-Shiksha initiative we are supporting teachers and children in rural and remote areas and urban slum for inclusive education. We are providing content-loaded tablets or Smart TVs to community teachers/government teachers/volunteers to provide access to digital device and interactive learning tools along with the mentored learning support to the learners from government schools, with special focus on the class 6th to 10th. 

 

Bharat ki Beti (BkB), a platform cum program based initiative under BharatCares,  focuses on education, employability and entrepreneurship (3E) approach to support and empower 10,000 girls and women by 2025. BkB identifies aspiring girls and women from rural, remote and rurban areas and works with them and their families through an intense hand-holding and mentoring program for 18-36 months, which we term as ‘aspiration to inspiration’ journey. Bharat ki Beti embodies both platform approach and program implementation, given the hybrid and milestones-based impact framework that we follow.

About the Position

BharatCares seeks to employ a Project Associate-Digital Learning for the project Bharat e-Shiksha. The Associate will work with the project team for managing project data, training of field teams, operations and reporting of the project. 

 

Purpose of the Role:

• To be responsible for project operations along with other project team members
• To train field teams and volunteers in line project SOP 
• To take responsibility project operations and coordination with other cross functional teams 

Role & Responsibilities:

• Collaborates with various district and state-based focal persons and volunteers for state-specific course and content related work
• To coordinate with content providers, devices suppliers and logistic teams for efficient management of devices and content for learners and teachers
• Day to day coordination of learners outreach, engagement and reporting by the field teams
• Manage data and records of project focal points, relationship with funders and government agencies for better coordination
• Generate weekly/monthly project report with granular insights for the project teams
• Work with social media, communication and resource mobilisation teams for better insights, case-studies and future improvisation of the program
• Develops and provides face-to-face and online professional development for teachers, media specialists, educational technology coaches and to enhance teachers' content knowledge and pedagogy through the effective integration of technology and digital activities and resources into the curriculum. 
• Develops curriculum-specific interactive digital resources and activities for students and their families, extending teaching and learning beyond program trajectory
• Performs other duties as assigned by the senior team members 

Qualification and Experience

• A post-graduate with a good academic record
• Minimum 12 months experience in education project/program or an internship with an education organisation
• Current knowledge of development issues, strategies, as well as programming policies and procedures in education in India
• Proven ability to conceptualize, innovate, plan and execute ideas, as well as to impart knowledge and teach skills
• An effective and energetic team player, with the ability to work in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment
• Strong self-motivation and innovative skills, with capacity to work independently and meet deadlines.

Desirable

• Knowledge of education and edtech projects/players and ecosystem in India
• Familiarity with recent changes in education policy in India 
• Being able to take initiative and work in an autonomous, semi-structured environment
• Adaptability to changing responsibilities and resourcefulness to respond to them
• High openness to learning and ability to build and sustain relationships with multiple stakeholders & partners across public and private spaces

Remuneration

INR 4.0 to 4.50L Annual with immense opportunities to work with a young and energetic team and a faster growth trajectory.
