Dr. Verghese Kurien, known as the ‘Father of the White Revolution in India’, founded IRMA at Anand, Gujarat with the support of the Swiss Agency for Development Cooperation (SDC), the Government of India, Government of Gujarat, the erstwhile Indian Dairy Corporation and the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB).

Job Description/Responsibilities

• Writing research grants as a part of the lab in collaboration with the lead PI.
• Design and manage the implementation of the field experiments and surveys.
• Peer review and quality assurance for the VKPL authored research and grant reports.
• Collaborate for the research ideas with the professors associated with the VKPL and research associates.
• Assist in teaching of courses taught by VKPL faculty.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience  

• Post-graduate in Economics (including applied, agricultural, and mathematic economics), statistics, public policy, or other relevant social science field with a strong quantitative focus.
•  Basic econometric skills.
• Introductory knowledge of statistical software packages (STATA or R).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
• Preferably less than two years of work experience beyond post-graduate studies in relevant fields. Candidates who have just recently or about to finish their post-graduate studies will receive equal weightage.
