Job Description

The major role of the Sr. Manager –Program Analytics will be to support the Chief of Party (JTSP) in improving productivity, streamlining strategic initiatives, overseeing program management, and communicating objectives between departments and projects. S/he will oversee strategic business initiatives from development through successful execution under the guidance of senior leadership and project heads. S/he will also review, design, and execute on improvements to organization structure, find knowledge and skills gaps and help address them. S/he will also undertake strategic initiatives to improve current processes and coordinate organizational procedures for optimized efficiency and productivity. The position is full time on organizational payroll but the duration of the position will be contingent on project funding for Bihar.

Job Responsibilities

Program Management:

  • Perform secondary research, analyze reports and data for generating information and making recommendations.
  • Support the Chief of Party (JTSP) and senior leadership of different project teams in timely preparation of programmatic and financial reports, and, any other strategic documents as requested by the donor, the client or any other external stakeholder.
  • Support the senior management team of PCI in developing strategic documents/ reports/ presentations for internal discussions or external dissemination.
  • Pulling together project teams and other stakeholders that require input from multiple areas within the organization and help drive decisions.
  • Keep track of overall high-level deliverables of different projects, and, develop real-time
  • reports for decisions on continuous process improvement.
  • Support Knowledge Management team in collating knowledge and evidences for PCI's dissemination at national and international forums.

Strategic Planning and Initiatives:

  • Develop concept notes, proposals, pitch documents for donor as well as clients on new proposed initiatives or areas.
  • Develop workable budgets, work plans and realistic timetables for all the new initiatives.
  • Work with the communication team to develop strategies for public relations, corporate communication, image building and media relationship development for PCI.
  • Provide decision support through data gathering, information analyzing, and presenting considerations to relevant stakeholders.
  • Create and update dashboards for the Chief of Party (JTSP) for tracking and reviewing key programmatic and financial performance indicators of different projects.
  • Compile learning documents for existing initiatives and upcoming proposed initiatives and create and manage a repository.
  • Identify existing gaps in the systems and processes, and, undertake initiatives to abridge the gaps and streamline operations.

Administration and Coordination:

  • Manage the meeting cadence for the Chief of Party (JTSP) and the leadership team, ensuring materials are sent in advance, time is well spent, and objectives are achieved.
  • Attend meetings and workshops, along with the Chief of Party (JTSP), with the donors, clients, and other stakeholders, take meeting notes, and track meeting follow-ups to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
  • Serve as liaison between the senior management staff, executives, and the Chief of Party (JTSP), regarding company environment, employee well-being, project updates, proposals, and planning.
  • Build and develop relationships with all the employees for increased efficiency and effective responsiveness into existing operations, and help to define new operational strategies, working with Chief of Party (JTSP) and senior executives on different projects.
  • Handle inquiries and develop action plans to address them, and assist with the preparation and dissemination of communications

Others: 

  • Perform an array of tasks from managing calendars, generating correspondence, maintaining hard copy and electronic files, planning and coordinating annual meetings, and scheduling facilities.
  • Draft job descriptions, outlining an interview process, and screening candidates for roles reporting into the Chief of Party (JTSP).
  • Support human resources department with new hires, including documentation and on boarding, and collaborate to address and resolve all employee concerns.
  • Any other task as required by the Chief of Party (JTSP)

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

  • MBA/ PGDM; preferably from a recognized Tier 1 Institute.
  • Work experience in management consulting, strategy, business development, Government Relationship etc. will be an asset.
  • Work experience and/or interest in the development sector, particularly in Health and Nutrition will be valuable.
  • Experience in strategic documentation for the organizational leadership, which must be easily digestible, unambiguous, engaging, informative, and convincing.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform standard analyses such as secondary research, performance analyses, competitive analyses, market analyses, etc.
  • Understanding of the working of non-government organization

Personality and Skills Attributes:

  • Excellent knowledge and skills to work on MS Office (Highly recommended)
  • Good analytical skills and eye for detail.
  • Highly professional with sense of accountability problem solving attitude and quick learner.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative research skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Knowledge of Hindi is considered as an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to work as an effective team-player and team leader.
  • Willingness to travel as per the needs of the organization.
