Job Responsibilities

  • Lead PATH’s technical assistance support to the state in effective planning, implementation, and monitoring of the XV FC and PM -ABHIM provisions
  • Work closely with state government counterparts under the guidance of MD NHM to develop, implement, and monitor the roll-out of XV-FC & PM ABHIM including annual plans, activities, reports, etc.
  • Work closely with Government/National Health Mission (NHM) officials for smooth project management and respond promptly to all TA requests from the state/ districts
  • Facilitate the development of financial proposals jointly with state officials for incorporation in the state’s National Health Mission (NHM) Program Implementation plan (PIP) and annual plans for XV-FC & PM ABHIM
  • Represent PATH at the state level and engage with state officials on a day-to-day basis.
  • Provide handholding support and build the capacity of district teams in the implementation of XV FC & PM ABHIM to achieve the state targets
  • Lead regular supportive supervision visits to districts and ensure a successful rollout of key activities, address the identified gaps, and share feedback with the state leadership.
  • Support the state government counterparts in planning and setting up an institutional mechanism for reviewing the progress at the state and district level
  • Steer the preparation of progress reports, updates, documents, and presentations for national/ state level review meetings or VCs.
  • Work with the state nodal officers to establish systems for tracking progress, and deliverables according to agreed annual plans to ensure state annual targets are met
  • Orientation of government officials on the efficient use of the Progress Monitoring System (PMS) portal
  • Any other task as requested by state NHM.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

  • Master’s Degree/Diploma in Public Health or related field.
  • Minimum 10-12 years of relevant work experience in professional experience in demanding, results-oriented environments in the public sector and/or private sector.
  • Previous experience of being a member in a PMU / TSU with NHM (UP or with any other state) is desirable.
  • Prior work experience with state or national government is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the National Health Mission, PM ABHIM, XV-FC, and other related public health programs.
  • Technical knowledge and understanding of public health system and project management
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong command of English and Hindi required.
  • Strong communication skills, including the development of compelling presentations with the ability to translate technical content and results in formats suitable for various audiences.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to handle high pressure, multitask and respond to ad-hoc requests
