The job vacancy for the Environmental Policy Researcher is for EECC Programme which works in the domain of policy research and advisory to influence rapid climate action at city, state and national level.
Job Description for the Technical/Research Associate at EECC
PIC with Divisional Commissioner, Pune is establishing a Net Carbon Neutrality(NCN) Cell for carbon accounting, budgeting. This is a new initiative to be coordinated under the office of Divisional Commissioner, Pune and will be guided and supported by the Energy Environment & Climate Change (EECC) Programme of Pune International Centre (PIC).
Qualifications & Skills Required:

Experience in Carbon accounting and related softwares. Should also have knowledge of Indian government/administrative departments’ systems.

Post graduate preferably in Environmental Science, Energy, Sustainability, Public Administration and associated areas.

Language: English, Marathi, Hindi
Job Responsibilities:

Create, maintain and monitor a database for accounting of carbon/GHG emissions within PMR as well as monitoring the progress in the sequestration capacity of the PMR as the region.

Research Carbon Accounting guidelines and formulate a protocol for Carbon Accounting and Certification to be adopted by the NCN Cell.

Liaison with government departments and core committee members for formation of the NCN Cell.

Research on policy papers and conferences of EECC.

Initiating and contributing to new projects and activities of EECC
