Job Description

Coordinate and Support the programme development and planning services:

  • Provide technical and operational support throughout all stages of programming;
  • Ensure integration, coherence and harmonization of the programme with other programmes in the India Country Office;
  • Coordinate with team members on setting priorities, strategies, design and implementation plans;

Coordinate and Support management of the implementation of the Programme in India CO:

  • Support the implementation of the Beijing +30 review process and the FYLP Phase 2 with partner organisations and work on CEDAW, India Gender & SDGs report and other reporting requirements under the IGP unit throughout the programme cycle;
  • Monitor financial resources for programme in line with the internal control framework and/or UN Women/UN rules and regulations;
  • Coordinate on implementation of communication and visibility plan of the programme;
  • Update the overall programme framework on the basis of reviews, lessons learned and best practices derived from evaluations;
  • Organize project review and/or evaluation meetings as needed.

Coordinate and support monitoring and reporting of the Programme in India CO:

  • Assist implementation of monitoring and evaluation framework for the programmewith specific and measurable indicators as well as evaluation missions;
  • Provide timely reporting to the Country Programme Manager for review
  • Initiate the preparation of aggregate delivery reports;
  • Draft donor reports, final Programme Narrative and Financial Reports, including lessons-learned.

Support building partnerships and developing resource mobilization strategies:

  • Provide support on developing and maintaining partnerships and resource mobilization strategies;
  • Participate in the ongoing coordination mechanisms to ensure coherence of the programme with other country-level processes.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

  • Master degree or equivalent in Social Sciences, Education, Gender Studies, Political Sciences, Business Administration, Public Administration, Economics or related field.
  • A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
  • A project/programme management certification would be an added advantage.

Required experience

  • 3 years of experience in programme management, including programme design, programme coordination, monitoring and evaluation, donor reporting and capacity building;
  • Experience in working in a gender related area is an asset;
  • Experience in setting priorities, budgets, work plans, participating in programme development and programme writing;
  • Experience in leading teams effectively is an asset.
