About the Organization
The international non-profit association Access Agriculture AISBL seeks to engage a Young Entrepreneur coach to be based in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. This position is part of a ground-breaking and dynamic team with a common goal to promote agroecological principles and rural entrepreneurship in order to improve rural livelihoods, consistent with Access Agriculture’s vision, mission and values.
Job Description
The global team of coaches helps these young Entrepreneurs for Rural Access to strengthen their business skills as well as facilitates the sharing of their experiences through a community of practice. Access Agriculture seeks to recruit a dynamic woman to join its global team and enhance the delivery and impact of Access Agriculture videos through a growing network of young Entrepreneurs for Rural Access in India.
Job Responsibilities
- To help establish and work with a network of young entrepreneurs (known as Entrepreneurs for Rural Access), starting in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka States of India.
- To develop suitable training material so as to enhance the capacities and abilities of the young entrepreneurs.
- To deliver suitable training to young entrepreneurs both in person and via the internet.
- To create communities of practice initially in Telugu, Kannada and Hindi, among the entrepreneurs so as to share experiences and develop stories for use on websites and social media.
- To be part of Access Agriculture’s Entrepreneur Coaching team and help provide inputs for social media accounts.
Location
Based in Hyderabad, Telangana. Regional travel around adjacent States of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka in India will be required.
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in agriculture, business development or other relevant subject.
- Knowledge of agroecology, entrepreneurship and monitoring and evaluation.
- Solid experience in development and delivery of training materials on small business development.
- Familiarity with the networks and actors active in India promoting agroecology/natural and organic farming.
- A quick learner with good interpersonal, communication, networking, leadership skills and facilitation techniques.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a diverse international collaborative team.
- Proficient in the use of computer applications and social media.
- Excellent oral and written skills in English, Telugu and good working knowledge of Kannada and Hindi would be desirable.
- Pro-active and willing to learn and help others.
