About the Organization:

Since 2015 they have delivered cutting edge training, innovative media campaigns, and brought incredibly talented teams of young reporters to the UN climate negotiations. They have delivered in-person trainings in more than 30 countries, hundreds of online webinars, and awarded travel scholarships to more than 350 young journalists. They have run participatory media research in over 20 different countries, and are developing a unique data-analytics tool to give journalists the best possible chance to “cut through” national debates.

Report on the air pollution crisis in South Asia with Climate Tracker:

Air Pollution in South Asia

  • Climate Tracker is looking for emerging journalists from South Asia to tell stories about the air pollution crisis.

Journalists will work on multimedia stories that show how air pollution is impacting their communities

  • Fellows will receive guidance, resources, and a stipend to work on the stories.

About The Fellowship:

They are looking for five talented emerging journalists from the South Asia region who can produce five compelling stories that either bring awareness to air pollution or shed light on how air pollution is impacting communities.

Fellows will be provided with mentorship and tools to help produce, publish, and promote their stories. Fellows will also get a chance to speak to experts from Amnesty International’s South Asia team on best reporting practices and insight into the air pollution crisis in the region.

Duration & Grant: The fellowship will last 10 weeks and fellows will receive a small grant to cover reporting expenses.
