We invite you to apply today for J-PAL/CLEAR South Asia’s Executive Education training on Evaluating Social Programmes

Details:  https://www.povertyactionlab.org/event/j-pal-executive-education-evaluating-social-programmes-2019

The Executive Education Course is a five-day programme that provides a thorough understanding of randomised evaluations and a pragmatic step-by-step training for conducting one’s own evaluations. During the course, you will learn the benefits and methods of randomisation, how to choose an appropriate sample size, and how to anticipate and avoid the common threats and pitfalls to the validity of an experiment.

While the programme is centred around the why, how, and when of randomised evaluations, it will also impart insights on the importance of a needs assessment, the Theory of Change, measuring outcomes effectively, quality control, and monitoring methods that are useful for all kinds of evaluations.

The course is designed for people from a variety of backgrounds: managers and researchers from international development organisations, foundations, government and non-governmental organisations from around the world, as well as trained economists looking for a refresher on randomised evaluations.

Dates: July 1-5 2019

Location: The Claridges, New Delhi

Limited seats available.

 Past participants have said:

“My most useful takeaway from the J-PAL Executive Education course was clarity on what type(s) of impact measurement would be the best fit for the programme I run. It not only provided me with a global perspective on impact measurement but also a varied group of people to work with closely to design an end-to-end impact strategy.”

“I would recommend this course to anyone who designs programmes or commissions studies in the development sector.”
