About the Organization:

Facebook, Inc. is an American online social media and social networking service company based in Menlo Park, California. It was founded by Mark Zuckerberg.

About the RFP:

To help support the need for thoughtful and groundbreaking academic research in the area of AI, Facebook is supporting independent academic research work, in India, in the field of AI Ethics that takes into account different regional perspectives. This line of research will also complement and amplify the research that the TUM Institute for Ethics in AI will be conducting.

Eligibility Criteria:

The RFP is open to academic institutions, think tanks, and research organizations registered and operational in India.

  • Organizations must be a nonprofit or non-governmental organization with recognized legal status in their respective country (equal to 501(c)(3) status under the United States Internal Revenue Code) and should comply with the applicable laws to receive foreign funds in their respective country.
  • Applicants must be the Principal Investigator on any resulting award.
  • Applicants may submit one proposal per solicitation.

The proposed budget should be within INR 10,00,000 to INR 20,00,000.

Title: RFP Invited for Election of Agency for Conducting “Micro-Level Skill Gap Study” In The State Of Assam

Organization: Assam Skill Development Mission

Assam Skill Development Mission was set up under the aegis of Skill Employment and Entrepreneurship Department. The vision of the mission is capacity building of the unemployed youth and to deliver quality skill training leading to meaningful employment.

About the RFP:

It is recognized that the skill gap is the interplay of industry demand, supply through public and private channels, labor force participation, aspirations and employability of both new entrant and existing workforce. Therefore, the proposed study of skill gap and impact of skilling activities undertaken in the State will be conducted by means of in-depth research, analysis and inquiry into the above mentioned areas.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • The bidder must be a single legal entity registered in India.
  • The bidder should be in business for at-least five years as on bid submission date
  • The bidder must have minimum average annual turnover of INR 100 crores from last 3 financial years
  • The bidder must have positive net worth during the past 3 financial year
  • The bidder must have conducted Skill Gap Study/Skill demand supply survey comprising primary survey in at least one state in the last 3 years
  • The bidder must have at least 50 people related to consulting/ advisory/ research activities on its payroll as on date of submission of the bid.
  • The bidder must have a valid PAN and GSTIN certificate

An NGO/ CSO/ not for profit organization can apply in one or more pillars i.e. (i) Skill Development Centers or Yuvakendras, (ii) Strengthening women collectives, (iii) Incubating Social Entrepreneurs and Enterprises & (iv) Strengthening Government InstitutionsThe scope of work against which the proposals are invited are classified as per Skill Development & Livelihood Framework (see above figure). Title: RFP Invited for Project Proposal under DDU-GKY program in the State of Maharashtra

Organization:  Maharashtra State Rural Livelihoods Mission (MSRLM)

Deadline: 25th July 2019

About the Organization:

The Maharashtra State Rural Livelihoods Mission (MSRLM) has been launched in Maharashtra in July 2011 as a registered organization under the aegis of the National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM) – Aajeevika – endeavors to impact rural poverty through a range of comprehensive and strategic livelihoods interventions in a time bound manner.

About the RFP:

Targets will be allotted to the selected agencies that have excellent track record in skill development, and a readily available infrastructure (training centre and residential facilities for minimum capacity of 140).

About the RFP:

The purpose of this assignment is to conduct a sector analysisof early childhood development services in communities spreading within 15 kms of HCL campus and heavily populated slum/some like habitats in the city of Lucknow. HCLF will use the baseline findings, to understand the situation of young children in these communities and will also serve as a benchmark for future planning, assessment of the progress made by the project towards promoting access to quality of ECCD services.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Proven track record in conducting primary and secondary empirical research in the field of socio economic development including baseline studies.
  • Credible history in the field of publications, development studies and related work in partnership with international, national, government and CSR organisations/donors.
  • Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative methods of data collection, synthesis and report writing.
  • Experiences on cross-cutting issues such as gender, inclusion as well as awareness on early childhood education, health, protection, participation.
  • Desirable qualifications of the Executives working on the assignment:
  • Doctorate/Postgraduate degree in early education, social sciences, economics, sociology, political sciences, education studies, health studies or other related fields from a recognized university
