Assistant Manager/Manager – Fundraising & Donor Management,

Reporting to: Manager / Director (Head) Partnerships; will work closely with the Director & team.

Responsibilities: The role’s core activities comprise:

A. Fundraising

  • Achieve realistic time-bound fundraising targets, agreed in consultation with key staff (Program teams, Finance etc.), CEO and the Founders
  • Research & activate a sustainable and diversified fundraising portfolio
  • Manage existing donor relationships and aim for a minimum planned # of repeat donations each year
  • Travel to Raigad (when required and scheduled) for all site visits / local official events
  • Work on fundraising campaigns based around the annual Swades budget
  • Maintain trackers for funding and records for MOUs, Proposals and databases

B. Communications & Media

  • Develop standardised fundraising materials and publicity collateral for pitching and awareness
  • Co-own reports & communication to be shared with current funders & prospectives.
  • Continually seek new and appropriate contacts & partnerships with relevant individuals / organisations

C. Financial Oversight & Reporting

  • Create and submit proposals as required
  • Work with implementation teams on budgets and costing structures for donors
  • Ensure reporting to funders is accurate, transparent and timely
  • Ability to understand and analyse costs / budgets and question program spends proposed for funding

Experience and Qualifications: The candidate is expected to possess the following:

  • Corporate experience in hospitality/media/ BFSI in a business dvelopment/sales / relationship mgt. role (desired)
  • Experience of securing funding for charitable or NGO activities from a variety of funding streams (preferred)
  • Total work experience of 2-10 years; exposure to the social sector / directly in an NGO (preferred)
  • Skilled in analytics/consulting/business development/sales (preferred)
  • Excellent personal contacts and connections with potential major donors and supporters
  • Any graduate / post graduate - management education preferred
  • Exposure to MS Office (Excel, Word, PPT) and basic number crunching would be of value

  • Actively take part in ownership of the overall fundraising program / activities of the organization
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; good writing skills
