About The Organization:

Udayan Care, an ISO 9000 certified organisation, has been working for the quality care of disadvantaged children and women and youth for over 24 years, with the endeavour of providing sustainable rehabilitation. Udayan Ghars are long term residential homes that nurture children who are orphaned or abandoned in a family environment. Beyond 18, they get aftercare support and are educated and trained further, till job ready and independent.

Job Description:

Role:

The role of Manager- HR and Volunteers is about people engagement in pursuing the Vision and Mission of Udayan Care. The Manager would be leading the Employee and Volunteer life cycle at Udayan, with the endeavor of enabling the cause that Udayan so passionately pursues. The role holder should be able to identify and hire the right talent as per need, and work for development, motivation and maintenance of human resources in the organization. The role also involves attracting right kind of volunteers and understanding their needs, motivation and how they can contribute to their own growth and meet the Udayan Care’ needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Cascading Udayan Cares Vision, Mission and Values to staff, integrating them into recruitment, rewards and recognition
  • Recalibrating organizational structure, roles and responsibilities for scale
  • Ensure implementation of HR processes, policies and guidelines, as per defined calendar and across various employee groups.
  • Execution and institutionalization of the Performance Management Process
  • Periodically audit and ensure effectiveness of HR processes, including but not limited to Recruitment, On boarding, Engagement, Communication, Capability Building, Compensation and Exit.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to recruit, engage, develop and retain volunteers, including new tie ups with institutions to increase the volunteer base.
  • Develop and monitor an annual budget that includes employee recognition, administration, training and development, and a separate budget for volunteer department
  • Periodic Compensation Benchmarking limited to Recruitment, On boarding, Engagement, Communication, Capability Building, Compensation and Exit.

Qualifications and Experience:

Experience:

  • Min 8-10 years of work experience in Human Resources

Educational Qualifications:

  • Masters in Business Administration / HRM
  • Masters in Psychology / Organization Development

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Working knowledge and experience in dealing with a diverse work force.
  • Policy understanding and implementation.
  • Working knowledge of statutory compliances. 
  • Demonstrated ability to handle employees and volunteers.
  • An ability to work successfully under pressure with the capacity to manage competing priorities and deliver to deadline
