Job Title:Project Coordinator, Strengthening the Child Protection Systems in Maharashtra
Job Summary:The Project Coordinator will be responsible in the implementation of ‘Strengthening the Child Protection Systems in Maharashtra’ project in the city of Mumbai which involves working with victims of child sexual abuse, their familiesand other stakeholders. The social workers will be placed to work with Child Welfare Committees in ensuring there are child friendly systems in place forvictims and families.
The job profile requires intensive field work, conducting home study ofvictims and families coordination with multiple stakeholders that includes police,CWCs, NGOs and other community members. The job requires extensive travelling across Mumbai for case management. The candidate will be given intensive training on the varied aspects of workingwith children who are victims of sexual abuse. The candidate will report to theProject Manager and the senior leadership team of Prerana.
a. Sound Knowledge of Marathi, Hindi & English
b. Must be able to read and write in Marathi
c. Must be able to travel to the field work areas and communities
d. Passionate about Child Rights and Child Protection
e. Sensitivity towards victims & families
f. Must be Self Driven & willing to work as part of a larger team
g. Female social workers preffered
h. work experience of 1 to 2 years in the sector
Remuneration:Based on the experience and qualificationTravel costs and communication costs will be reimbursed separately
