Duties and Responsibilities

  • Initiate, address and accomplish all statutory processes as per the provisions and any amendments thereof in the Acts viz Maharashtra Society Registration Act 1861 and Bombay Trust Act 1951 wherein the JBGVS is registered;
  • Arrange AGMs and Board of Trustees meetings as per the statutory provisions and or necessitated to address macro level and strategic issues;
  • Comply to all statutory requirement as per the acts’ provisions – all reports and returns obligatory to maintain legal coherence;
  • Be the custodian of all Financial Assurance System (FAS) as applicable and approved by the Board of Trustees and amended from time to time to keep coherence with dynamic demands;
  • Evolve annual budget in consultation with the operations teams, seek the approvals from the BoT and communicate and manage the budget with operations teams;
  • Manage all bank operations as per the stipulated and approved processes and comply to all statutory requirements as applicable in each case;
  • Manage highest standards of financial due diligence, transparency of financial operations at all levels, commence and conclude audit both internal and statutory as per the approved frequency at all locations and operational area of the JBGVS;
  • Facilitate the CSR operations for all financial due diligence processes, manage partnerships, arrange verifications, audits, utilizations of the funds furnished by the partners as per the MoUs / agreements signed by the CSR Operations Teams;
  • Facilitate the F & A team in conducting the following and report it back to BoT through GM (CSR), CEO, JBGVS:    
  1. Create and execute financial review framework for proposed and existing CSR projects.
  2. Financial due diligence of project proposal, sources of funds, ratio analysis and cost benchmarking, funds ratio, sustainably
  3. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for reviewing ongoing projects for proper financial compliance and utilization
  4. Review large or high-risk projects at defined periodicity for compliance through field visits and review of necessary documents with the NGOs
  5. Define key metrics and risk parameters to aid CSR and implementation team in doing basic financial assessment during field visits
  6. Ensure compliance in documentation pertaining to financials at every stage of proposal review
  7. Support internal and external project audits
  8. Create and maintain dashboard for senior management on Financial compliance                      Required Qualifications and Experience

1  8+ years experience of management accounting/ audit at a senior level in CSO / Not – for Profit Organization;

2 Understanding of CSR Fund management, statutory provisions as applicable and Financial and Accounting Systems management with all taxation issues as applicable onto the Trust / Societies a must for the incumbent.

3  CA with demonstrated experience of managing F & A at senior level is a must;

4  Positive attitude and team player

5  High analytical skills and attention to detail
