The Wildlife Institute of India (WII) is an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Environment Forest and Climate change, Government of India. Established in May 1982.WII carries out wildlife research in areas of study like Biodiversity, Endangered Species, Wildlife Policy, Wildlife Management, Wildlife Forensics, Spatial Modeling, Eco development, Habitat Ecology and Climate Change. WII has a research facility which includes Forensics, Remote Sensing and GIS, Laboratory, Herbarium, and an Electronic Library
Project: “Assessment of spatial and temporal occupancy of tiger and elephant in relation to habitat characteristics and anthropogenic factors for the creation of Eco-Sensitive Areas in Sawantwadi and Dodamarg talukas of Sindhudurg district in Western Ghats of Maharashtra, India”

Emoluments: Rs. 35000.00 + HRA
Duration: period of eighteen months.
Age: Age Not exceeding 40 years as on the date of interview. Upper age limit in case of applicants belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC
- Required to visit areas of Maharashtra and Karnataka for data and samples collection and undertake required analysis
Qualifications and Experience:
- M.Sc in Life Sciences/ Wildlife Sciences/ Forestry/Remote Sensing from a recognized university.
- Two years of experience in wildlife survey, knowledge of GIS, data analysis, report writing
- Two years of experience in occupancy, population estimation, habitat quantification using different approaches
