Call for Filmmakers: Documenting Green Infrastructure and Eco-Friendly Practices in Craft Based Enterprises

 

We are excited to announce a unique opportunity for filmmakers to collaborate with AIACA to document their efforts in promoting green infrastructure and eco-conscious methodologies at various Craft Clusters.

 

About the Project: AIACA, with support from Misereor, has initiated Project: Promoting Sustainable Enterprises in the Craft Sector. Under this project 8 craft enterprises across the state of Gujarat, Assam and Odisha will be provided with interventions such as capacity building, visibility in the market, access to social entitlements and adoption of green solutions. The proposed interventions seek to build the internal systems and capacities of the enterprises with a focus on market-oriented designs, helping them adopt green processes and ensure the well-being of the artisans.

 

Requirements:

●       Filmmaking Experience: Applicants must have prior experience in filmmaking, including directing, shooting, and editing short films, specifically for the development sector

●       Passion for Sustainability: We are seeking filmmakers who are genuinely passionate about sustainability and have an interest in eco-friendly practices.

●       Creativity and Storytelling: The selected filmmakers should demonstrate their ability to craft compelling narratives and visually engaging storytelling.

●       Collaborative: This project involves working closely with craft-based enterprises, so applicants should have excellent communication and collaboration skills.

 

Deliverables:

●       Four Short Films: Each film will focus on a different craft-based enterprise and its journey towards adopting green infrastructure and eco-friendly practices. Duration: Upto 5 minutes per film.

●       Short Snippets for Social Media: A series of short video clips extracted from the films, tailor-made for sharing on social media platforms. Duration: Multiple clips, each around 30-60 seconds.

●       Film Trailer: Short teaser trailer comprising green practices by all enterprises. Duration: Approx 2 minutes.

●       Some high resolution photographs of the Green Models

●       Entire Raw Footage of the Films

 

Time Frame:

January – Mid February - The Films need to be submitted to AIACA by 28^th February.

●       A Cover Letter, duly signed and stamped on your Letterhead, expressing your interest in working with us

●       Portfolio: Please share the company/your portfolio, highlighting your experience of working on similar projects. Please also provide a link to your filmmaking portfolio or relevant work samples that showcase your storytelling abilities.

●       Proposal: A full proposal, along with Financials, highlighting your approach and methodology for this project
