About the Organization

The primary obstacle for gender equality is the persistent lack of bodily autonomy and integrity for girls and women. Led by and representing feminist movements and youth advocates in the majority of the world, Women Deliver plays a pivotal role in global collective action for gender equality. Our mission is to protect and promote the bodily autonomy of girls, women, and gender-diverse people, focusing specifically on their control over their sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). We believe that gender equality cannot be achieved unless girls, women, and gender-diverse people have the freedom to make fundamental choices about their own bodies, sexuality, and health.

We aspire to be a feminist organization, committed to continual evolution and learning. Our values underpin how we show up in the movement.

About the Fellowship  

The Women Deliver 2026 Conference (WD2026) will take place 27–30 April 2026 in Narrm (Melbourne), Australia. WD2026 will focus on the leadership and lived experience of feminists, First Nations leaders, and advocates from across the Oceanic Pacific and the world.

Women Deliver is offering Media Scholarships for journalists and content creators worldwide, especially those who may not otherwise be able to attend and report.

Who Can Apply

Media Scholarships are open to working media globally, including:

• Reporters, editors, producers, presenters/anchors
• Photojournalists, videographers, and broadcast teams
• Podcast/radio journalists and newsroom social/visual teams
• Freelancers with a commissioning/assignment letter
• Content creators who produce independent, factual coverage on social issues

Priority will be given to:

• Media and content creators with a demonstrated focus on gender equality, health, human rights, climate justice, development, or Oceanic Pacific issues
• First Nations and Indigenous journalists and creators
• LGBTQIA+ people, persons with disabilities, internally displaced persons and refugees, and those from under-resourced communities
• Early-career journalists/creators and applicants who have not previously received a ‘Women Deliver Conference Scholarship’

Successful applicants will receive a full scholarship, which includes:

• Full Conference registration
• Hotel accommodation during the Conference (26-30 April 2026)
• Roundtrip economy airfare
• Visa fees and related costs
• Per diems to cover local transportation and daily meals
• Travel insurance

For participants with disabilities who require a support person or adolescents under age 18 who need to travel with a guardian, the scholarship also covers full expenses for one accompanying person. If selected, you will be asked to provide their information at the time of registration.
