About the Organization

Posterheroes is an international contest about social design and social communication asking the international creative community to express powerful messages through a 70×100 cm poster about social and environmental issues. The contest, created in 2010 by PLUG Association , is open to everyone and aims to involve young people and international artists in a particular way.

The winning posters are selected by a selection panel comprising international experts in the field of illustration, animation, arts, visual communication.

PLUG communicates the results through different initiatives. Two catalogues, made with the support of Favini, eight calendars and several public exhibitions have been realized to promote the value of the winning posters and to disseminate their messages. Open spaces, art galleries, public areas: the opinion of the young creatives is shared and discussed widely.

Posterheroes is an international contest about social communication that calls for posters (70×100 cm) about social and environmental issues. Every year, Posterheroes invites students, professional designers, and everyone who is into graphic design to create a poster about topics of social interest. All the works are judged by a selection panel composed of some of the most relevant graphic design and visual communication experts that choses 40 winning posters.

The New Edition:

The 14th edition of Posterheroes invites designers, illustrators, and visual storytellers from around the world to reflect on the generative power of empathy. To imagine a world where kindness is radical, visible, and contagious. A world where power is not measured by control, but by the ability to create meaningful connections.

• How do we make small, transformative gestures visible?
• How can kindness reshape relationships, spaces, cultures—even contemporary geopolitics?

How to Apply

Submission deadline: August 22, 2025.

• Download and read the brief and get inspired.
• Create your unpublished posters 70x100cm (remember, all text must be in English!)
• Simply register in the upload section.
• Submit up to 3 posters before the deadline!
• Could you be among the 150 finalists? Have your open file ready to authenticate your creations!
• Wait for the jury to vote and the winners announcement !
