About the Organization

Fortify Health is a non-profit organisation that operates in India. We work to address iron-deficiency anaemia as cost-effectively as possible.

Fortify Health has a vision for a healthier world where everyone has the micronutrients they need to survive and thrive. We aim to fulfil this vision by enabling access to micronutrient-rich wheat flour to reduce and prevent iron deficiency anaemia. Iron deficiency anaemia is a formidable public health and economic issue, both in India and internationally.

About the Proposal

Development Consortium is a non-profit in India that implements a project, Fortify Health (FH). The mission of FH is to enable access to micronutrient-rich wheat flour to reduce and prevent iron deficiency anaemia. With a team of ~85 professionals spread across more than 16 states, we operate largely remotely, with regular field work carried out by our technical and programme teams.

Our team engages with a wide variety of stakeholders including wheat flour millers, government officials, and non-profit partners across the country. As we continue to grow in reach and complexity, we are committed to building a high-performing, values-driven team culture through targeted investments in professional development.

Scope of Work

We are seeking support from an experienced consultant or organisation to design and deliver a tailored learning and development initiative that strengthens our team’s capacity across five key focus areas over the next three months, starting August 2025. There is potential for a longer-term engagement in a later second phase, focused on embedding the learnings into ongoing systems and structures.

We seek support in developing and delivering a 90-minute, online training session for each of the topics below that is engaging and action-oriented. The learning and development partner will be expected to support capacity building in the following topics and sub topics (indicative):

Data Analysis and Evidence Use

  • Provide practical training in analysing and visualising data using common software such as Excel and Google Sheets
  • Strengthen data literacy, including how to read, interpret, use, and design data dashboards
  • Facilitate exercises in translating raw data into actionable analysis and evidence to inform strategic decision-making

Project Management

  • Train teams in basic and advanced project planning and management tools and frameworks (e.g., timelines, trackers, trade offs between quality/time/cost)
  • Provide guidance on effective meeting planning and follow-up, task delegation, on-time task management, and strengthening accountability within project teams
  • Support teams in balancing reactive and proactive work through prioritisation and workflow planning tools to meet deadlines

Deliverables

The consultant is expected to deliver the following:

  • An overall plan and approach to the assignment, including detailed lesson plans for each session
  • A series of five online training sessions, each no longer than 90 minutes, designed to be highly engaging, interactive, and evidence-backed. The first two sessions should be delivered by the end of September 2025 with all sessions delivered by the end of November 2025.
