A brief snapshot of the role:
As Account Executive you will play a critical part in maintaining accounts and related documentation, overseeing designated financial operations of the organisation, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, preparing and monitoring budgets, undertaking various financial analysis and providing financial insights for strategic decision-making. The candidate must be proficient in financial management, taxation, reporting, and compliance, and possess strong analytical and communication skills to effectively manage the financial health of the organisation.
As a Account Executive, you will be responsible for:
- Financial Management: Oversee financial operations and prepare accurate financial reports. Develop and implement finance and accounting policies, systems, and guidelines. Maintain updated books of accounts using Tally software and ensure proper record maintenance for audits.
- Budgeting: Assist in the preparation and monitoring of annual and quarterly budgets and expenditures. Provide financial insights and recommendations for decision-making and policy formulation.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements, cash flow and variance analysis reports, forecasts, Balance Sheet, Income and Expenditure account, and Receipts and Payments accounts. Present financial information to management and stakeholders.
- Statutory Compliance: Ensure compliance with FCRA, Income Tax, GST, TDS, Provident Fund, and ESIS regulations.
- Audit and Compliance: Coordinate with auditors for internal and annual audits. Address audit queries and finalise annual accounts. Prepare and submit project audit reports as required by donors.
- Internal Controls: Implement procedures to safeguard financial assets and prevent fraud.
- Donation Receipts: Manage and process donation receipts, including issuing 10BE certificates for Indian donations.
- Bank Transactions: Manage cash deposits, bank transactions, and reconcile bank statements.
- Filing and Documentation: Maintain organised filing systems for financial documents.
- Trust Budget and Accounts: Prepare and monitor budgets and accounts related to trust funds, ensuring compliance with donor agreements as well as investing Trust funds as per law.
- Other Tasks: Verify MoUs, legal documents, and project budgets for compliance. Support Administration and Programme Units on financial matters. Oversee the implementation of finance policies and report irregularities.
Apply if you have:
- A Bachelor or master’s degree in accountancy or Finance or related discipline.
- Proven experience of 3-8 years.
- In Depth knowledge of FCRA, Income Tax, GST, TDS, Provident Fund, and ESIS regulations.
- Adept at financial statements, variance analysis reports, forecasts, Balance Sheet, Income and Expenditure account, and Receipts and Payments accounts.
