We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Consultant Doctor to join our health programs, especially in remote communities of Jharkhand, where we aim to make a significant impact.

Key Details

  • Position: Consultant Doctor (Female Preferred)
  • Location: Hata, Jamshedpur
  • Work timing and consultancy charges-  5-6 hours a day. No. of days work will range between 8-12 days a month.

Position Overview

The Consultant Doctor will play a vital role in delivering quality healthcare services to remote populations in India, ensuring the implementation of preventive, diagnostic, and curative health care solutions. This position is essential for ensuring health service delivery is effective, sustainable, and aligned with the organization’s vision of improving community health outcomes.

Core Responsibilities (70%)

Medical Services & Patient Care

  • Provide OPD clinical services, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of health conditions.
  • Offer consultations in areas including general medicine, maternal and child health, and chronic and communicable diseases.
  • Support health outreach programs in local communities, providing medical assistance to underserved populations.
  • Conduct scheduled  health camps, screening activities, and medical consultations in villages, schools, and community centres.

Quality Assurance & Health Monitoring

  • Maintain up-to-date medical records on HMIS software , ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with local healthcare workers and offer training on health-related issues, enhancing their skills and knowledge.

Community Engagement & Awareness

  • Educate communities on health and hygiene, reproductive health, and prevention of diseases.
  • Encourage and support community involvement in health programs, fostering a culture of health awareness.
  • Conduct health awareness campaigns to reduce the burden of preventable diseases.

Link Responsibilities (15%)

  • Ensure proper implementation and follow-up of treatment plans.
  • Assist in developing annual healthcare program reports
  • Provide mentorship to health staff.

Systemic Responsibilities (15%)

  • Uphold and reinforce the organization’s core values, fostering a supportive and respectful environment for both patients and colleagues.
  • Support in the adaptation of health programs based on emerging needs and feedback from the community.
  • Contribute to organizational strategies for improving health service delivery.

Qualifications & Experience:

Required

  • MBBS degree from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in clinical practice, preferably in rural or underserved areas.
  • Proven experience in treating a wide range of medical conditions, including chronic and infectious diseases.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse community groups.

  • Knowledge of computer to write prescription for treatment advice.

Preferred

  • Postgraduate degree or specialization in General Medicine, or related fields.
  • Experience working with non-profit organizations or in humanitarian healthcare services.
  • Knowledge of public health principles and community health program implementation.

Skills & Competencies

  • Ability to provide medical consultation in resource-limited settings.
  • Experience in community health education and outreach.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in challenging environments.
