About the Organization

We are Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani (BITS Pilani), one of India’s leading higher education institutes and a deemed university under Sec. 3 of the UGC act. Our campus at Pilani (Rajasthan) was set up in technical collaboration with MIT (USA), under the Ford Foundation Grant and later was deemed to be a university in 1964.

Job Responsibilities

• Contribute to development of research tools such as Questionnaires, Interviews and Focused Group Discussion
• Conducting Surveys, Interviews and Focused Group Discussion
• Transcription of data and data compilation
• Assist in quantitative and qualitative data analysis
• Maintaining project database and records
• Coordination and liaising with other stakeholders including government agencies
• Any other project related task assigned by the Project Directors

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• Post Graduate Degree in any Social Science Disciplines preferably in subjects such as Disaster Management/Sociology/ Economics/ Social Work/Development Studies/Geography etc. (minimum 55% marks). In addition, language skill in either Tamil or Odia is essential.
• Desirable: Experience of conducting fieldwork

Salary

Consolidated Pay of Rs 20,000/
