About the Organization

The National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRD&PR), an autonomous organisation under the Union Ministry of Rural Development, is a premier national centre of excellence in rural development and Panchayati Raj. Recognized internationally as one of the UN-ESCAP Centres of Excellence, it builds capacities of rural development functionaries, elected representatives of PRIs, bankers, NGOs and other stakeholders through inter-related activities of training, research and consultancy. The Institute is located in the historic city of Hyderabad in Telangana state. The NIRD&PR celebrated its Golden Jubilee Year of establishment in 2008. In addition to the main campus at Hyderabad, this Institute has North-Eastern Regional Centre at Guwahati, Assam to meet the NE-regional needs.

Job Description

• Contact all the relevant officials from Watershed Department at PIA, WCDC and the State level for liaison and facilitation in data collection.
• Coordinate with Research Associates for data compiled, interpret and analyze as information for project wise and Sate wise.
• Submit the draft reports and progress from time to time during the study.
• Be a part of the presentation team lead during mid-term workshops and final presentation (physical and online)
• Need-based visits to relevant project areas for field work.
• Follow the instructions as directed by the Head, CGARD and coordinator for the project.
• Possessing own working laptop for day to day work
• Able to work beyond office hours as per need of the project

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• Engineering Graduate in Agriculture/Civil/Geo-informatics Or Masters in Agriculture Sciences/ Earth & Environmental Sciences/ Geo-informatics Or equivalent Or PhD in Social Sciences.

Experience

• 10 years of experience in relevant field. Preference will be given to candidates having experience in Monitoring and Evaluation

Desirable

• Excellent communication and writing skills in English and Hindi.
• Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work independently with leadership skills or as part of a team.
• Knowledge of data collection tools, interpretation and analysis
• Report preparation and making presentation to Sponsoring agency.

Salary

• Rs.1,00,000/- per month (Consolidated).
• Remuneration for Retired government servants, will be as per MoF instructions dated 09 Dec 2020.
• TA/DA as admissible as per NIRDPR norms for tours
