Job Description

We are looking for a Head – Engagement, Marketing & Communication who will lead the organization’s efforts to build meaningful relationships with stakeholders, enhance brand visibility, and drive strategic communication initiatives. This role will focus on marketing, public relations, digital engagement, and storytelling to strengthen the NGO’s impact and outreach. The ideal candidate is a dynamic professional with experience in social impact communication, digital marketing, and stakeholder engagement.

Job Responsibilities

Engagement & Outreach:

  • Develop and implement strategies to engage key stakeholders, including donors, employers, beneficiaries, volunteers and prospective job applicants.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, media outlets, and influencers to amplify the NGO’s mission and impact.
  • Organize events, campaigns, and community engagement activities to foster strong connections.

Marketing & Branding:

  • Develop and execute marketing campaigns to enhance brand awareness and visibility of the organization.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all communication materials and online platforms.
  • Design and manage content for marketing collateral, including brochures, newsletters, reports, and promotional materials.

Communication & Public Relations:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy aligned with the NGO’s mission and goals.
  • Write, edit, and distribute press releases, blog posts, articles, and other communication materials.
  • Manage media relations and respond to press inquiries in collaboration with leadership.
  • Monitor and report on media coverage and public perception of the organization.

Digital & Social Media Management:

  • Oversee the NGO’s digital presence, including website, email marketing, and social media channels.
  • Develop and manage content strategies for social media, ensuring engagement and growth.
  • Analyze digital analytics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Stay current with digital marketing trends and online engagement.

Fundraising & Campaign Support:

  • Collaborate with the fundraising team to develop compelling communication materials for donor engagement.
  • Design and execute fundraising campaigns, including online crowdfunding initiatives.
  • Develop impact stories, case studies, and testimonials to support donor outreach and grant proposals.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

  • Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in marketing, communications, or engagement, preferably in the non-profit sector.
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with experience in content creation.
  • Proficiency in social media management, digital marketing, and analytics tools.
  • Knowledge of graphic design and video editing tools is a plus.
  • Experience in event planning and stakeholder engagement.
  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and lead a team in a fast-paced environment
