Job Responsibilities
Data Analysis and Evidence Generation
- Compile and clean U-DISE+, NSS, ASER, budget, and other datasets.
- Calculate key education indicators and prepare standardized data tables.
- Conduct disaggregated analysis by gender, location, social group, administrative area, religion, wealth quintile, and school management.
- Develop analytical outputs (tables, graphs, maps) to highlight trends and gaps.
Knowledge Products and Presentations
- Prepare state profiles, briefing notes, and thematic presentations for workshops and consultations.
- Draft evidence-based inputs for advocacy and policy dialogue.
- Design infographics, charts, and dashboards to effectively communicate findings
Dashboard Development and updating
- Contribute to the design and structure of a Power BI dashboard.
- Regularly update dashboard data and ensure accuracy of visualizations.
- Generate state-level profiles and outputs linked to the dashboard for routine use.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Advanced university degree in Demography/Statistics/Population studies / management / Education/ or another relevant social science field
- A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in data analysis, monitoring, research, and evaluation in social sector
- Strong understanding of data analysis, spatial analysis, monitoring, and research.
- Proven experience working with large-scale datasets such as U-DISE+, ASER NFHS, NSS, and Census.
- Advanced skills in SPSS, STATA, Excel and PowerPoint; Intermediate proficiency in Power BI and other visualization tools is desirable.
- Excellent writing and presentation skills.
- Prior experience working with UN, government agencies, or INGOs is an asset.
