At Madhi we believe that the foundational literacy and numeracy learning gaps among children must be eliminated over the next ten years, in order to avert a monumental crisis and societal breakdown, where schooling does not equate to learning, and education is significantly devalued.
Job Responsibilities
In this role, some of your responsibilities will include
Operations Management
- Provide day-to-day oversight of FLIP program implementation across Meghalaya, Nagaland, and other designated states.
- Ensure effective program execution, including logistics coordination and quality assurance in all operational aspects.
- Lead implementation planning, monitor progress, and manage resource allocation to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Liaise and build strong, collaborative relationships with state, district, and block-level education officials, ensuring mutual trust and alignment.
- Represent Madhi Foundation at high-level review forums, stakeholder meetings, and donor engagements.
- Facilitate discussions and strategic planning for program scale-up and expansion across identified regions
- Conduct regular coordination meetings and provide timely updates to government partners to ensure effective program implementation and communication.
Team Management
- Conduct performance reviews, offer mentorship, and lead capacity-building initiatives to strengthen team capabilities.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and orientation processes for field staff to ensure smooth integration and role readiness
Conducting Observations
- Lead the implementation of classroom observation systems to monitor and enhance teaching and learning practices.
- Conduct joint classroom observations in collaboration with field teams and government mentors to ensure consistency and shared understanding.
- Track observation targets, analyze findings, and ensure quality assurance through regular monitoring and feedback mechanisms.
Keeping Stakeholders Updated
- Prepare and deliver regular progress reports and presentations to communicate program status, achievements, and areas for improvement.
- Oversee data management, ensuring accurate collection, analysis, and tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Facilitate effective communication and coordination with government stakeholders and internal teams to ensure seamless program execution and alignment.
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience
- Have a master’s degree in a relevant field including business, public policy, education, or a related field of study from a reputed institution
- Have proven planning and time management skills and display a drive to see projects through to completion
- Possess excellent leadership and coaching skills and set a high bar of excellence for yourself and team
- Visionary leadership with capacity to hold both strategy and detail.
- Enjoy working with a diverse range of stakeholders and strive for cross functional collaboration
Requirements
Mandatory Prerequisites include:
- Master’s degree (Education, Development Studies, Management, or related field).
- 4–6 years of experience, with at least 2 years in managerial roles.
- Prior experience in managing geographically distributed programs and teams would be an advantage.
- Prior experience in education reform, government collaboration, or large-scale program delivery.
- Periodic travelling to different states and respective blocks
