About the Organization
Indian Institute of Management Nagpur started its journey in the year 2015 under the mentorship of Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad. The Institute’s first batch of Post Graduate Programme (PGP) in Management commenced on the 23rd of July 2015.
Job Description
- The Manager – ICT & EKC will be responsible for overseeing the planning, setup, operation, and maintenance of ICT systems at IIM Nagpur. This includes managing the Institute’s network, IP-based telephony, academic and administrative software, email services, audio-visual and video conferencing facilities, servers and data centres, website, security systems, automation platforms, and other related infrastructure.
- Planning, scheduling, supervising, and maintaining ICT and AV infrastructure, including inventory management, repairs, replacements, and upgrades in the Institute.
- Supervise the internet setup, classroom, and meeting room audio-visual and video conferencing systems, inter-communication systems, the institute’s website and intranet, email platforms, servers, academic and administrative software, and security systems.
- Proven track record in service delivery and managing SLAs.
- Implementation of the best practices in line with the prevailing Government laws/regulations related to IT / Cyber Security / Data Privacy practices, etc., in the Institute’s operations.
- Planning & Execution of end-to-end ICT setup for any new expansion project of the Institute.
- Handle any other responsibilities as assigned by the Competent Authority from time to time.
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience
- Applicants should have a B.E. / B. Tech in Computer Science / Electronics / Information Technology branch or MCA or M.Sc. in Computer Science with at least 60% marks or its equivalent grade from a recognized University / Institute and a consistently good academic record.
- Minimum 10 years of post-qualification experience in ICT infrastructure management, out of which minimum 5 years of relevant IT administrative experience in a supervisory role, in designing, managing, and maintaining ICT infrastructure, preferably in a reputed Higher Education / Management Institution or a Corporate Organization of repute.
- Professional certifications in networking/cybersecurity/other relevant domains are desirable.
- Experience of working at IIMs/IITs/NITs or any other premier Institution is desirable and will be given preference.
Key Skills:
- Experience in assessing the Institutional/departmental IT Infrastructure needs, forecasting, budgeting, procurement, and implementing ICT smart infrastructure projects.
- Ability to analyze and resolve ICT and networking issues with innovative & practical solutions.
- Knowledge & Experience of Design, planning, implementation, and maintenance of Network systems (including enterprise-wide LANs, WANs, VPNs, etc.)
- Relevant knowledge of GFR, Government Procurement practices, rules, and compliance parameters.
- Result-oriented and able to manage multi-stakeholder environments.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic and analytical thinking, strong leadership, and team management skills.
