Job Description/Responsibilities
- Lead the provision of technical assistance to clients, ensuring high-quality delivery and strict adherence to timelines.
- Contribute to business development efforts for GESI thematic areas in India, Indonesia, and Anglophone Africa.
- Mentor junior team members, supporting their professional growth and development.
- Foster organizational development by being a collaborative team player and upholding the organization's culture, values, and reputation.
- Develop and publish knowledge resources by identifying key issues, lessons learned, and best practices from programs and projects across various clients and geographies.
- Be open and willing to travel, spending over 30% of the time on on-site assignments.
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience
- Master’s degree in Gender Studies, Developmental Economics, or a related field, or equivalent professional qualifications in relevant areas of specialization.
- Academic background in gender studies is essential.
Other Requirements
- Experience in research, consulting, and advisory services for clients, with a focus on India, Africa, and Indonesia.
- At least 5 years of practical experience in gender equality and gender mainstreaming.
- Proven expertise in incorporating gender perspectives into projects and programs, particularly in specific areas of intervention.
- Experience in gender programming, including research, project design, implementation, and management, with a preference for expertise in women’s economic empowerment, care economy, gender and climate change, and gender digital divide.
- Ability to design gender-responsive indicators across various sectors.
- Proficient in understanding and working with gender-disaggregated data, including experience in compiling, analyzing, and interpreting gender and women’s economic empowerment issues and statistical data through in-depth research and high-quality reports.
- Familiarity with gender analysis tools and methodologies, with experience in both quantitative and qualitative research and analysis.
- Experience in countries outside of India is desirable.
