Job Description
The M&E Officer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust monitoring and evaluation systems to ensure the effectiveness, quality, and accountability of the integrated community health program. The position involves regular field engagement to track progress, ensure data quality, and support informed decision-making through evidence-based reporting.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Monitoring & Evaluation frameworks aligned with project goals and donor requirements.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) across program components (leprosy, LF, TB, malaria, scabies, Japanese Encephalitis and Sickle Cell Disease).
- Oversee the design and use of data collection tools and systems for Community Health Workers (CHWs), Physiotherapists and staff nurses.
- Conduct routine field monitoring visits to ensure quality data collection, verify reported outputs, and assess service delivery effectiveness.
- Lead training sessions for CHWs, supervisors, and nurses on M&E processes, tools, and reporting formats.
- Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness in reporting from PHCs, CHCs, and community health workers.
- Analyze data and generate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for internal review and donor agency.
- Coordinate with other team members and government officials to ensure data integration with public health systems where relevant.
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Public Health, Sociology, Statistics, Data Science, Project Management, or a related field.
- Skills required: Strong understanding of health indicators, log frame development, and M&E methodologies. Field-based monitoring experience and ability to work in rural/tribal settings. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and report-writing skills in English and Hindi/local dialect. Ability to train and mentor field staff on data tools and monitoring systems.• Expertise in monitoring and evaluation in public health or community development programs. Proficiency in MS Excel, data visualization tools, and statistical software (SPSS/STATA/Power BI) is desirable.
