Alliance for an Energy Efficient Economy (AEEE) supports policy implementation and enables the energy efficiency market with a not-forprofit motive. AEEE promotes energy efficiency as a resource and collaborates with industry and government to transform the market for energy-efficient products and services, thereby contributing toward meeting India’s goals on energy security, clean energy, and climate change. AEEE collaborates with diverse stakeholders such as policymakers, government officials, businesses and industries, consumers, researchers, and civil society organizations.

Job Description

AEEE is looking for a self-motivated, positive and passionate individual with a problem-solving and growth mindset who will join our Low Carbon Built Environment (LCBE) team to further enhance & empower our brand identity and recognition.

Job Responsibilities

• Support the design of technical architecture for all flagship platforms and infrastructure (ADeX, Traceability Platform, Cloud Infra, APIs, Model Registries, etc.) and supervise their deployment.
• Lead the development, procurement, and integration of AI/ML models, ensuring contextual relevance, explainability, and accuracy.
• Manage the Center’s centralized cloud environment, including provisioning services to other departments as part of the state's DPI.
• Drive adoption of global and national interoperability standards (e.g., DPDP, IndiaStack, ONDC, Agristack etc) and ensure compliance with ethical AI and data governance principles.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of secure APIs, federated data access layers, and open digital ecosystems for ecosystem partners.
• Provide technical inputs on pilot design, solution assessment, and startup onboarding within sandbox environments.
• Ensure cybersecurity protocols, data anonymization techniques, and risk mitigation plans are embedded across all systems.
• Serve as the primary technology liaison with vendors, implementation agencies, academic partners, and national programs like Bhashini, IndiaAI, etc.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• Master’s degree in engineering, public policy, architecture, building science, management or a related field.
• 12+ years of relevant experience (business, industry, research, policy, technology) in the built environment.
• Strong executive presence with a good network and track record of developing relationships with funders, clients, partners, and service providers.
• Demonstrated experience in conceiving ideas, developing proposals, and managing programs.
• Demonstrated experience in managing and mentoring teams.
• Demonstrated ability to identify gaps and manage research.
• Expertise in policy/technology/financing solutions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Commitment to AEEE’s vision, mission, values, theory of change, and organisational goals.
