Job Description

Applications are invited for one (01) positions of Research/Academic Assistant and TWO (02) positions of Field Investigator for a short-term project on the Impact Assessment of a Government Scheme in six districts of Uttar Pradesh: Hardoi, Lakhimpur Kheri, Lucknow, Rae Bareli, Sitapur, and Unnao. The work involves mixed-methods research (secondary + primary), field data collection and fieldwork coordination, analysis, and report writing.

Job Responsibilities

• Secondary research & data collation: JJM dashboards, UP JJM website, Ministry of Jal Shakti documents; Census/NSSO indicators.
• Primary research: Support sampling, survey/FGD/KII tool design & programming; coordinate field teams; ensure ethics/consent and data quality.
• Data management & analysis: Clean, analyze, and synthesize quantitative and qualitative data; create tables, charts, and dashboards.
• Reporting: Draft district briefs and contribute to interim/final reports with clear, actionable recommendations.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

Minimum qualification

• Research Assistant (RA): Post graduate /MBA in regular mode with minimum 60% marks either in Economics/Statistics/Public Policy/Management/Sociology/Public Health or allied fields.
• Field investigator (FI): Graduate in regular mode with minimum 60% marks in the above or related disciplines.

Preferable qualification

• Demonstrated skills in field studies and analysis; familiarity with Census/NSSO, Ministry of Jal Shakti sources.
• Proficiency in Excel and knowledge of tools such as SPSS/R; basic qualitative coding desirable.
• Hindi & English fluency; field readiness for district travel in UP.
• Strong report-writing ability for policy-style outputs.
