Duties and Accountabilities:

The role of Business Process Excellence (BPX) Senior Business Process Assistant is to develop and manage the implementation process, leveraging the discipline of Lean and Project Management tools including work plans, dashboards and metrics to call out and achieve decisions, flag risks, and hold stakeholders accountable for executing against deliverables in a timely manner. The role also includes providing support to the Lean deployment for the Chennai center for time bound delivery of business benefits. Lean deployment support includes supporting Lean trainings, providing mentoring support, managing stakeholder expectations and acting as a point of contact of BPX team for the functions assigned.

Responsibilities include:

  1. To use various improvement methodologies such as Lean / Six Sigma and other change management methodologies to support BPX lead in ensuring delivery of business process improvement initiatives
  2. Perform diagnostics on identified areas of business to establish the area of improvement, define problems and propose solutions
  3. Provide support in monitoring, assessing and developing required MIS and Quality Scorecards applicable to the respective functions
  4. Support the execution of Six Sigma, lean, and other quality initiative driven projects
  5. Support business units in sustaining solutions implemented and in tracking improvements
  6. Support definition of service standards, performance indicators for the key processes
  7. Periodically review relevant business processes to identify risks, plug the gaps, implement quick fixes on process issues, update procedures and share best practices to actively participate in the improvement of overall business processes
  8. Compile and prepare reports, presentations and other documents as instructed by the Program Officer, BPX
  9. Perform any other duties or responsibilities consistent with the employee role and assigned by the management

  7. Applies sophisticated project management processes to increase process and quality objectives of function.

Role Specific Competencies:

  1. Minimum experience of 5 years in quality management, performance management
  2. Working knowledge of Business Management Tools
  3. Hands on experience in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies with at least Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification (Black Belt is desirable)
  4. Project management skills
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft office, Visio, BPMN modelling or other process modelling tools
  6. Excellent interpersonal skills
  7. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  8. Both strong collaborative skills and ability to work independently
