Senior Business Systems Analyst – Digital Health (ESIC Programs)

Location: Remote
Engagement: Full-time / Project-based

Role Purpose

The Senior Business Systems Analyst (Sr. BSA) will be responsible for translating high-level business requirements into detailed, implementation-ready functional specifications for ESIC’s digital health initiatives, including health-risk profiling tools, OPD pre-consultation triaging systems, and internal program monitoring solutions.

The role focuses on business analysis, system thinking, workflow design, and stakeholder alignment, ensuring digital solutions are practical, scalable, and suitable for government healthcare settings.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business & Functional Requirement Definition

• Convert high-level BRDs and concept notes into:
  • Detailed functional requirements
  • User stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria
  • As-Is and To-Be business process flows
• Define system behavior for:
  • Adaptive health-risk profiling workflows
  • Pre-consultation OPD triaging and decision-support flows
  • Referral, escalation, and follow-up pathways

2. Workflow & System Design Support

• Map ESIC operational workflows across:
  • Hospitals, dispensaries, and OPD settings
  • Community and field-level interactions
• Ensure solutions accommodate:
  • Low digital literacy users
  • Multilingual environments
  • Offline or low-connectivity scenarios
• Support UX teams with clear functional logic and constraints

3. Stakeholder Engagement & Validation

• Work closely with:
  • Ops Team, Development Team, ESIC Team etc
  • Hospital administrators and clinicians
  • Technology vendors and implementation partners
• Facilitate requirement walkthroughs, clarifications, and sign-offs
• Act as the single source of functional clarity during delivery

4. Data, Reporting & Governance Requirements

• Define data capture and reporting needs for:
  • Beneficiary risk profiles
  • OPD triage outcomes
  • Program progress and adoption tracking
• Support role-based access definitions and governance workflows
• Ensure alignment with government data security and compliance expectations

5. Delivery Support & Change Readiness

• Support project managers during:
  • Development and UAT cycles
  • Pilot deployments and phased rollouts
• Assist in creation of:
  • SOPs and user guidelines
  • Training and onboarding materials
• Support change management through clear documentation and handovers

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Health Informatics, Information Systems, or related fields
• MBA or equivalent experience in business analysis is a plus

Experience

• 5–8 years of experience as a Business Analyst / Business Systems Analyst
• Strong experience in GovTech, digital health, public sector IT, or healthcare systems
• Proven ability to convert ambiguous or high-level requirements into structured functional specifications
• Experience working with government stakeholders and vendor-led delivery models
