About the Organization

The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) is a statutory body established by the Government of India under the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority Act passed by the Parliament in December, 1985. The Act (2 of 1986) came into effect from 13th February, 1986 by a notification issued in the Gazette of India: Extraordinary: Part-II [Sec. 3(ii): 13.2.1986). The Authority replaced the Processed Food Export Promotion Council (PFEPC).

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

Essential:

• Post Graduation in Agriculture/Food Technology/International Trade/ Agriculture Economics/M.B.A; and
• A Minimum experience of 25 years in a responsible position at a senior level in the Govt. Sector. (Central Govt./State Govt. /Autonomous Body /Statutory Body under the Central/State Govt.) in the related field(s) preferably in agricultural/processed food products exports, marketing, international trade.

 Desirable:

• Ph.D.
• Experience in Trade Matters, especially of Agricultural and Processed Food Products
• Experience in quality matters
• Good Skills in IT tools

Salary

Rs.2,00,000/- per month (inclusive of taxes)
