Job Purpose
The role is to lead and execute the marketing and communication (print and digital/online) strategic plans in alignment with the brand strategy for the region, for our home publishing business ( K 12) to ensure effective sales and growth in South Asia Markets. The role holder will liaise and work closely with cross functional teams of Business, Product, and key strategic third-party partners in developing joined-up marketing strategies and campaigns.
The role is key in driving marketing engagement and growth plans for the K-12 Business which is a premium Educational Publishing brand.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
What you'll be doing
You will be part of a team whose role is to grow Cambridge University Press & Assessment's K 12 offering, including but not limited to in qualifications and education resources for teachers and learners aged 5-19 .The role encompasses the definition and the implementation of a marketing communications strategy for the region, in line with central marketing and regional schools' development objectives and in collaboration with the Head of Product Marketing for Schools, South Asia.
It includes:
- The set-up of the marketing strategy, in line with South Asia marketing and regional schools' development objectives.
- The promotion of the full range of school learning resources
- The development of a deep understanding of the customer profile in each market to conceptualise, develop, and implement integrated communications, localising content and approach to various audiences across the region.
- The regular measurement and reporting against performance of all traditional and digital marketing campaigns to identify opportunities and areas for improvement.
- The quality assurance of all sales and marketing materials, and compliance with our brand guidelines.
- The management of a marketing executive.
- The responsibility for the K 12 marketing budget in the South Asia region.
What we're looking for
- You ideally have a university qualification – at graduate or postgraduate level – in marketing, communications, or journalism. You are a strategic thinker, with the ability to turn strategy into action and to organise, prioritise and plan various marketing activities on a large scale.
- You have a proven track of successful marketing experiences, preferably in the Publishing / Education Industry and in a multicultural environment
- You have excellent writing and editing skills with the ability to produce accurate, persuasive copy of a high standard in English.
- You have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with senior managers. You know how to work in and with a team, and you have good negotiation skills and good presentation skills.
- You are autonomous, you know how to report in a synthetic and efficient way, you are enthusiastic and creative, tenacious to push projects and flexible in the face of emerging and changing requirements. You are at ease in a constantly changing environment.
- You have a high sense of business ownership and are able to translate Key Business Priorities into highly effective marketing campaigns.
- You are able to showcase clear ROI and maintain clear reports for the K-12 Marketing vertical
- You are able to plan and execute a clear retention and upsell strategy for your High Value Accounts.
- You are able to create a clear marketing Activation strategy for penetration and deepening within the Group Schools
- You are able to plan STEM focussed Campaigns to increase the penetration of your STEM titles
