About the Organization

The Department of Tourism Administration, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University is the pioneer university department in the state of Maharashtra offering Tourism education at the Post Graduate level, Doctoral and Post-doctoral Research.

The Department is actively involved with the Tourism related activities of the government tourism departments, the Archaeological Survey of India, Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation, other corporations and the industry.

The Department is well known in the country for the quality of Research; now the faculty has initiated international collaboration with the university faculty from Chile, Brazil, Portugal, China, Japan, France, Turkey, Malaysia, and Thailand.

The Department faculty Dr Rajesh Ragde and Dr Madhuri Sawant are working as Expert Members on the various Academic , Research and Tourism Committees of the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India through the Indian Institute of Travel and Tourism Management, Gwalior, University Grants Commission New Delhi, Maharashtra Public Service Commission Mumbai, Govt of Maharashtra Mumbai , Central Board of Secondary Education New Delhi , Central Institute of Vocational Education Bhopal, and other prominent 36 Universities in India
